Not sure how to explain all of this Jeep stuff but my Grandpa completely restored it a few years back when he was 76 yrs old and only used it for the local town parades twice a year. He has only put on approx 500 mi if that on it since restoration. It's a 48 Willy's CJ2A that he restored to his liking. He started with an almost completely rust free tub & frame. Factory 4 cyl flathead engine that was rebuilt stock. Stock twin stick manual transmission and factory rearend. He also used military tires which do have some lite dry rot on them but tires have great tread with tubes in them.He did some minor upgrades to the Jeep so it would be more road worthy to drive. He converted it over to 12v system and added an electric fuel pump and changed the gas gauge and front marker lights. I'm sure a person could find a thing or two more that is not completely stock but overall it is a beautiful piece of history. The interior and top was completely redone as well. I had this in a Parade earlier this year and people couldn't get over it. Lot's of Ooo's and Awww's. Also did a local car show that had 250+ pristine, street rods and muscle cars & classics and i took home a respectful top 30. All in all if you wnat a pice of History that they don't make anymore of than this is it. I just don't have a taste for this kind of toy so would like to let it go to someone who does love this kind of Jeep.
