My Dodge Ram of 16 years and 148,000 miles finally developed engine trouble on May 28, 2015. The number 8 cylinder has no compression. We confirmed this through a diagnosis at Firestone and an instructor at a local college auto shop. It needs a new engine, long block, or a one from another Dodge that runs. A year and a half ago, the blue-book value on this truck was $5500 to $6500. Here are some of the features on this one-owner truck: - This was bought in Gilroy as a dealer demo with 6800 miles on it. I am the original owner. - It has the California Concepts package, which consisted of a bed liner, dual exhaust and aftermarket muffler, aftermarket wheels and tires (Optima 15 x10 wheels on Firestone 33 x 12.5 inch tires) and fender flares. - power windows, locks, remote control key lock, bed tonneau cover, air conditioning, 4 wheel drive. - Body and factory Solar Yellow paint in great condition with exception of clear coat coming off of aftermarket plastic fender flares and top of plastic front grill. - Smittybilt nerf bars are rusted. None of the rest of the truck is. Rust-free California truck. - Has a towing package and tow ball with lock. - All maintenance records and original window sticker included, as well as a factory service manual from Daimler Chysler. - Catalytic converter replace December 2007. - Bilstein shocks, new set of rear brakes un-installed - 2 front aggressive tread tires have lots of tread left, 2 rear tires not as much. - No other maintenance issues with the truck. It drove down the road excellently.
