Up for auction is a true Barn Find, a 1940 Ford Coupe. TheCar has been sitting in the same place for the last 44 years. Inspection sticker, still in window says 1971. Car has been in Texas it's whole life and is not a rust bucket. Body: Body of the car does not have any real rust. Front fenders, drivers door, rear quarters have good dents in them but they can all be pounded out and made straight again, they do not have any rust and this metal is thick. Floors have the inspection panels missing but for the most part look good. Trunk floor has wood on it, not sure if it's supposed to and some metal riveted in the middle. Not sure what's going on there but there is not structural damage. Under hood looks clean and frame rails are super strait looking like they have never been in an accident. Front and rear bumpers are also on the car. Interior: Interior is all there from what I can see. Pictures tell the story, been sitting a long time and I'm sure everything needs redone. Door panels and panel behind seat look really nice for the age of the car. Speedo and gauges look nice, working condition unknown. Overall, this is a very saveable car for the right person. I know these cars are popular and I'm sure for the starting bid someone would love to own it. Comes with nice gas tank, I think original steering wheel, rear light bezels, front grill, some heater looking thing(not sure what it is). Car has most of the trim on it but there are a few pieces that where in the trunk that will be included.
