Vehicle Detail
Nice original (except for front seat) 1954 3-window Chevy Pickup. 1954 235 6-cyl motor. 4 speed on the floor with granny 1st gear. New parts include: heater, bumpers, rubber weather stripping around doors. New mechanical parts: rebuilt engine, rebuilt carburetor, fuel filter, gas line, spark plugs, distributor cap, wires, points, condenser and rotor, front brake shoes, gas tank sending unit. It has been converted to 12 volts, all gauges work, speedometer indicates about 20mph slow, wipers work (just missing arms), heater and horn work. Gas tank has been cleaned. 4 good used tires, Cooper LT235-85R16s. All lights work except dome light. Emergency brake works although retract spring that retracts pedal is weak. Truck has weak paint job. Has small rust in cab corners, see picture. floors are solid, very small hole on passenger side where floor and kick panel join. Truck drives good, shifts good, stops straight. Bed floor replaced with metal sheet. Have clean California title in my name with current registration, I drive it at least one a week. VIN indicates it was born in Oakland, CA, don't know if it has ever left California. I inherited this truck from my father-in-law who is now in a nursing home so I don't have a complete history of the vehicle. This was his "baby" and he took good care of it, Buyers with less than 5 feedback, please call me before buying. On Jun-28-15 at 22:12:49 PDT, seller added the following information: Just to clarify a few things, the metal sheet in the bed is just bolted in so it would be easy to re-install a wood bed with metal strips as it originally had. Also the mileage indicates 80,000 plus but who knows if it's rolled over (probably). Unfortunately I don't have any of my father-in-laws receipts for the work he has had done to it. I do have a receipt for recent new front brakes, horn relay and heater switch. I had the vehicle checked out at a local hot rod shop to make sure it did not have any issues.
