Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE You are bidding on a very nice driver 1975 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am 400 3spd automatic showing 63k miles. Mileage is unverified; however she does not appear to be a 163k car. Bought this TA in December 2014 for my son as a father son project, he has since decided he wants a pickup. When we bought it, it had a miss, and we discovered it was two lobes missing on the cam. We replaced the cam with a slightly larger than stock cam, and he detailed the engine compartment. I think he did a nice job. This TA came from the factory with AC but a previous owner has removed some of the AC parts as you can see in the pics. Car has power windows that work and have new window felts. Has new carpet, new mats, and new front seat upholstery. The upholstery and carpet was done by a previous owner. We added the Lloyd mats. The dash has some cracking in one area, see pic. Has a Kenwood head unit and Blaupunkt speakers; however they are not hooked up. It was this way when we bought it and we planned to replace all of the audio. The tachometer, speedometer, fuel gauge, amp, and oil pres gauge work. The clock does not, nor is the temp gauge working. However someone added an aftermarket temp gauge. The temp gauge is simply not wired up. An easy fix. The rear view mirror is off and I will replace it before you pick up the car. It just fell off. The trunk gasket is rotten and needs replaced, I have a new one I will include with the sale. Also there is a lower panel under the steering wheel that was missing and I just located one and will include that as well. The doors shut firm as they should, no rattles or sagging. Interior still needs some attention, like the headliner, audio system, and other small details. I have some extra parts I will include. The trunk has some black carpet that someone cut and installed. It is not factory correct. I have the spare hook, and nut, but no spare or jack is included. The car has all new brakes; the front tires are 85% the rear are 50% tread. I was told the engine and transmission are from a 73 TA. So it has a Turbo 400 instead of the 350, and it would not be a numbers matching car. The paint is great for a driver, not for show. It is a 10 footer paint job and is showing its age upon closer inspection. But looks nice in pictures, and of course from 10 feet away. We were going to repaint in a couple years after my son drove it for a while. It's still very presentable though considering the age of the car. There may be other items I am forgetting, please email me with any questions. This TA is a strong running fast car. It shifts great and drives great. Does not smoke upon starting, even if you let it sit for a month. I would drive this car anywhere without reservation.
