I am only the second owner of this classic Camaro. It was special ordered by a GM employee who owned it until early last year. It spent almost 20 years in Southern California, so there are no rust issues. At 101000 miles the engine blew a head gasket. The owner, being a GM employee, had a new, not rebuilt engine installed. I have the receipt for $5000.00, along with all the maintenance and inspection records since it was new.He took a job with Toyota and quit driving the car much. The engine was replaced in January 2003. So, it has only been driven 34000 miles in the last 12 years. I had big plans for the car. I repaired the small things that were wrong with it when I got it, Replaced the front brakes, rotors and calipers. Replaced the drivers window motor and switch. Installed new sun visors. Then I decided I wanted a V8. That is where things stalled. Between work, kids and grandkids I have not had time for the car. My wife, being the wonderful person she is, bought me a 2015 SS Camaro last weekend. So now this one needs to go. The car is not perfect, but it is pretty good. It still has some flaws. The previous owner ran into the hitch on his truck, so the nose has a little damage. It is barely noticeable with the bar on(see picture). The A/C works for about a week if you charge it. It's a convertible, so I haven't messed with it. The passenger door window is slow. A new regulator with motor is included with the sale. The remote for the door locks doesn't work. The previous owner had an alarm system installed that no longer works. I have the original remote but haven't had time to take out the alarm system and make the original system work. I would not be afraid to drive this car anywhere. I drove it home from California when I bought it. I also made a trip to North Dakota and back. It doesn't use oil. Set the cruise at 75 and it gets 25+ miles per gallon. Let the top down and enjoy! Please look at the pictures and ask questions before you bid. This is a no reserve auction.
