Vehicle Detail

This new show quality pickup features:Built 350 small blockProfessionally rebuilt 700R4 with shift kit3:90 10 bolt rear endNew suspension componentsComplete working A/C systemNewly refurbished oak bed floorRust-free body & professional paint job Pickup is originally 1962 base model pickup but has a 1965 grill & 1964 Custom trim cab badges installed. Restoration was completed in late 2000. The 350 engine is a 10:20 block from a 77 Nova. It has been bored .030 with a torque plate and has a new steel crank, ARP rod bolts and is fully balanced with a TCI flex plate. Rods are set at .002" and mains at .00175". The water pump, fuel pump & aftermarket dampener are all new. The carb is a new Edelbrock 600 CFM with electric choke. It also has a Weiand action plus intake, a Crane energizer cam with mild lift, Summit Racing high flow 2.02 1.60 cast heads, Headman headers with a 2.5" Custom rear exit and true dual exhausts with welded oval mufflers. The transmission is a professionally built 700R4 with a TCI Street torque converter, a B&M trick kit and an improved TV valve, as well as a heavy duty aux trans cooler and a B&M unimatic shifter. Pickup has a NOS under-dash Air Conditioner system for a 1964 Oldsmobile and all under the hood components are from a late 70's Chevy car. The A/C blows cold & works as it should. The heater core was replaced 1 year ago. The fuel tank in the cab has been removed and replaced with a rear mounted 18 gallon tank; the filler tube is in the box floor. The original gauge in the dash works as the correct sending unit was installed. In addition to the original working OEM gauges in the dash, the following gauges have been added: a 3-gauge pod with coolant temp, amps and oil pressure; trans temp gauge. A small Stewart Warner tach has also been mounted on the steering column. The 18+ coats of paint is PPG's Admiralty Blue Acrylic Polyurethane. All steel and lead body work (no bondo) is still in perfect condition. The pickup is free of any blemishes or rust and is close to show quality; however, there are some small rock chips in the hood and fenders from the 21,000 miles it has been driven since the restoration. All front & rear suspension rubber bushings were replaced with Prothane polyurethane bushings and a later model 1" front sway bar was installed. This pickup handles stops ans accelerates as well or better than it's modern day equivalent. The front suspension system has the original torsion bars adjusted for 1 inch drop and new lowered rear coil springs have been installed. The 15" tires and wheels leave the opportunity for improvement as they are dated & there are far more appealing wheel/tire packages available. I am leaving the old white wagon wheels on to allow the future owner a quick customization. This pickup is being sold with no reserve and the minimum bid is the minimum I will sell it for. Please bid to own this pickup; you will be very impressed as there are no mechanical issues or physical flaws. I have over $14,000 invested and have enjoyed driving it to car shows & as a nationwide cruiser. This pickup is near show quality & would make a perfect daily driver. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have as I'm selling this vehicle to make room for future projects & want it to go to a good home where it can be driven and appreciated. If you do not yet have any feedback, please contact me before bidding so your bid is not rejected. Upon the end of the sale, an immediate deposit of $1,000 is required via paypal. The remaining amount can be paid via paypal, cashier's check or cash. The pickup is located within 3 miles of I-80. It is easily accessible by truck & loading assistance is available.
