The car was owned by the same person from 1993 to 1997 and again from 2001 to 2016. The majority of the 65,000 miles on the car were put on by him. The car has just had a major service, including a valve adjustment (new gaskets, sparkplugs, O2 sensor), new clutch cable, new AC compressor seals, and brand new tires. The car drives great, with good synchros in all gears. The AC works well and the car idles evenly. The stereo has been updated, but otherwise the car is bone stock. This car is not a pristine restored car, it an honest Texas car that has been well cared for its whole life. The car comes with all three original keys (2 standard and 1 valet key) and original books. The paint is almost all original spare a few small touch ups, but it is showing its age. There are knicks and stonechips, etc. The car looks fabulous from 20 feet, but up close it has flaws, including one spot on the sunroof that is discolored. The leather interior on the car is really fabulous for its age; the new 911s really just do not have leather like these classic cars. You can smell the difference when you open the door-like a baseball mitt. When we bought the car, we planned on a full bare metal repaint. It would be easy enough with the accident and rust free body. Ultimately, the more we drove it and sat in it, the more we thought that the car would be better in the hands of a loving owner at this price point, than it would be tucked in a garage with brand new paint for $10,000 more.
