Vehicle Detail

Numbers matching (engine and transmission) 356B. Car was restored 7 years with a color change from the original Heron Grey to silver. Motor was rebuilt approximately 7000 miles ago by a local longtime Porsche mechanic. Overall condition of the car is very good. I bought the car a little over a year ago from a local doctor who had owned for 7 years. Not much known about the restoration, but it appears to be more of a color change (very good one) than a full blown restoration, big stack of receipts from Stoddards. Runs strong, drives and stops straight, no known mechanical issues. Car presents itself very well, Paint is not concours, but very high quality drive condition. Odometer shows a little over 99,000 miles, unknown if this is actual or not. Reserve is set a to a very realistic price, but I reserve the right to end the auction early as the car is for sale locally. On May-28-15 at 11:28:49 PDT, seller added the following information: Updated. The person who did the restoration recognized the car from the listing and was able to provide some additional information: He believes the mileage shown on the odometer to be the actual on the car. When he purchased the car prior to restoration it was pretty much original including the factory paint in Heron Grey. His quote was "you don't find cars in that nice of condition for restoration anymore". His shop has done a number of 356's and I can provide his contact information on request. Answering some questions I've received:Motor upgrades include 123 ignition (still have stock distributor), M&K exhaust, oil cooler, big bore pistons/cylinders (1750cc ?)12V conversion Radio doesn't workSeats/Dash are leather2-3 small rust bubbles on driver side door (tried to get a picture but they were too small to see)Underside of the car has some surface rust where the undercoating peeled away but nothing structuralCar is for sale locally but not advertised, word of mouth to people who asked to be notified if I decided to sell the car
