2000 dodge dakota 4x4 slt. This truck has been very well maintained. I work for Caterpillar and have a love for diesels. I started 2 years ago on a 1 year process. I started with a Cummins 4bt turbo, v pump diesel. I disassembled this engine and only reused the crankshaft and block all other parts has been installed new. From Cummins. It has a new 11 inch clutch assembly. This engine had the small block chevy rear housing. So I used a small block bell housing with an advance adapter plate 3500 trans. That bolted straight back to the Dakota transfer case. All drive shafts are original. I wanted to keep everything stock from the trasfer case out. I have a hunt lease in Ohio and travel it several times a year. This truck will get 25-30 mpg no problem in 5th gear on the road. The truck has some normal wear scratch and dings. The transmission has started not going all the way in 2nd. I pulled the top and found one of the forks wearing. Really hasn't caused me any problem at all since I've gotten used to it. The interior is great in this truck. Has all options a slt would. I wouldn't care to start a trip anywhere in this truck. We had several -30 days this winter and this truck always started. The only reason I'm selling is I wasn't s full size to handle a large pontoon. I'm willing to deliver up to 200 miles for free. The only other things I know that has problems is the motor is failed on the cruise control and the high pressure line on the a/c compressor has a hole. The engine Has less than 10000 miles since rebuild.I have over $4000.00 in the engine purchase, rebuild and install on this truck. Not counting the value of the truck.
