Vehicle Detail
2003 Honda S2000 - Grand Prix White w/ Tan InteriorRebuilt in 2008 - Happily owned and driven for many years since. Hardtop not included. Please read the description in its entirety before bidding. I have taken the time to create it, so please read it. Thank you. For auction is my 2003 Honda S2000. It is Grand Prix White with a Tan leather interior with just under 100k miles. It is in excellent condition and works perfectly, but it carries a rebuilt title. Everything works as it should, including the A/C, cruise control, heater, power windows, convertible top, and all other systems. The only thing that is not working correctly to my knowledge is the buzzer letting you know you left the lights on when the door is opened. The top is in excellent condition and has a glass rear window. The engine is smooth with no issues or hesitation. The transmission is smooth and firm with no grinds or irregular synchro noises. No irregular noise from the drivetrain, driveshaft, or differential. The clutch has been replaced and is tight and works well. The suspension works great and makes no irregular noises. The alignment is good and the vehicle drives straight. The tires are Toyo Proxes R888s. These list for over $1000 a set on Tire Rack. They have 80% tread remaining (measured) with only 4 heat cycles on them. They are from a different S2000. This S2000 has never been tracked and came with BBS RG-R wheels, which I have removed. The interior is in excellent shape, but the driver's seat shows normal wear consistent with the mileage and the roll hoop behind the driver's seat is a little loose. The original owner had it until 2007 and sold it with 25k miles on it. The second owner lost control and ended up damaging the car by going off the road. The lower front end was damaged by an embankment (the hood is original with the original VIN sticker, as are the fenders but they have been repaired) and the damage doesn't go past the radiator support. The driver's door was damaged (and subsequently replaced), the rear driver's quarter was repaired, and light damage on the rear passenger quarter was repaired. The damage was mostly cosmetic, but due to being around the entire car, it was totaled out. The VIN stickers are present on all panels except for the front bumper, fenders, driver's door and rear driver's quarter. VIN stickers are present on the hood, passenger door, rear passenger quarter, trunk, and rear bumper. The rear bumper has paint over the sticker. Please note S2000 values were at their lowest in the winter of 2008 due the economic crash pushing values down as well as it being the end of the production cycle. Prices have risen since then. The rebuilder kept the car for a year and drove it all summer. He put 4000 miles on it and then sold it to the third owner, who kept it from 45k miles in late 2008 until 92k miles in late 2013. My friend purchased it at that point and has had it since then. He is an engineer and only put 8000 miles on it in the last 2 years. I purchased it at the beginning of the year to keep as a track car, but I ended up buying an already prepped track car instead, so I am selling it and keeping the hardtop. The title is on hand. The GA DMV has confirmed it is a clear GA title with a branding that says it was previously salvaged out of state. I can guarantee no GA buyer will have any difficulty titling or registering the car. Out of state buyers need to check with their DMV as to the specific rules of their state. It is worth being aware that GA is one of the more difficult states to deal with as far as a rebuilt title goes. Both Minnesota and South Carolina were no problem. It runs better than most S2000s with 100k miles that I've seen and is a real pleasure to drive. The 2003 models are highly desirable, especially in white, and have a lot of upgrades over the 00-01 models. Not to mention all services have been done, including the 60k service, and it has a relatively new top and new clutch. It needs nothing but a driver. I am a private seller. Additional photos are available upon request. Please email me if you have any questions. Happy to take it to a local Honda dealership or body shop if the buyer wants it inspected. Please note: The factory hardtop is not included in this auction. It was on for the winter months and I had not taken it off for the photos as it is a two person job and there was nobody to help me. This is a great opportunity to own a very nice 2003 Grand Prix White S2000. I would not let the title scare you. It is a great little car and has been very well maintained. Details & Shipping: This is a no reserve auction. This means whoever wins the auction will be able to buy the car. Do not bid if you do not already have the money. Do not bid if you are planning on taking a loan. Do not bid unless you have all finances sorted out before the end of the auction. I am willing to sell the S2000 outside of the auction for a buy it now of $9900. I have the car listed locally and reserve the right to sell the vehicle locally. If you are not sure if you like the car, feel free to come inspect it before the end of the auction. A non-refundable deposit is due within 24 hours of auction end. The S2000 is sold as-is, where-is. That said, I am happy to help with shipping/transport as needed. I have sold cars and had them shipped before, and my personal cars came from Oregon and Miami, both shipped. I am familiar with the process and can help guide the buyer, but ultimately it is the buyer's responsibility and I accept no liability for anything the transport may do to the vehicle once it leaves my possession. On May-07-15 at 07:30:14 PDT, seller added the following information: I have received some questions about the S2000 and I will answer them here. 1. There are no lights on on the dash (Check Engine, ABS, SRS, etc.) - everything looks good.2. Yes, the timing chain tensioner has been fixed (common problem)! It makes no noise.3. Yes there is an aftermarket intake. It is a K&N Cyclone 4. There is no aftermarket exhaust, but the exhaust is a little louder than stock. 5. Yes the windows are tinted, on both doors and also the rear glass.6. The hardtop is not available.7. It is a non smoker car. The interior smells good and completely neutral. No pets, either. It is VERY clean. A few people have emailed me asking about the difference between the 03 and the '00 cars. The '02-03 S2000s had a few revisions over the '00 and '01 cars, making them the most desirable version of the S2000 with the 2.0L engine. These include suspension revisions (more balanced), gearbox revisions (synchro material), updated trim, speakers (tweeters in the door), console (leather), and a glass rear window for the convertible top (pictured). They typically go for about $2000 more than their '00-'01 counterparts. That said, it is nearly impossible to find a Grand Prix White from 2003. They were the lowest production number color and come up for sale very rarely. Thank you for your interest and happy bidding!
