You are Bidding on a Hotrod Cruiser: Built in the style of a HotRodded 1950's sedan, this tastefully executed, rotisserie restored in 2008. This 1955 Ford Customline is not only unique, but has benefited from a nice level restoration. Just added Custom 1955 Vanity Plate to match. Mirror finish. The body of the car was media blasted to remove old paint and repainted in a candy apple red. Frame was blasted and coated and all of the suspension components were rebuilt and refinished. Immaculate undercarriage. The hood and fenders were welded together as a one piece. All metal, one piece flip front end to have a more Hotrod look for car shows and ease to access motor. This HotRod was created with reliability and planning. Powertrain, built 466 with a nice comp cam with a 4 bbl Holley carburetor, interceptor heads, Edelbrock intake and numerous Edelbrock parts. MSD ignition.No expense spared. High quality parts used for this big block for power and reliability. Heavy duty huge radiator never goes over 185 degrees and custom parts for the power steering, power disc brakes and independent suspension.. This puppy is a runner, stump puller and a looker all in one package. As with the rest of the car, the engine compartment is highly detailed. The stock exhaust manifolds and exhaust for nice low tone, not obnoxious but sounds awesome. The C6 transmission was built and has a transmission cooler. Tall Lokar shifter to complement the show interior. It pops off nice shifts and is a nice compliment to the Ford 9" rear end out back with 3.00 gears. Great for highway cruising. Tires are in great condition with Weld Draglite wheels. The interior retains its classical styling complimented by all new finishes. Show quality interior. It's quiet, comfortable and full of detail work found in nice restorations. Seats are leather with the 55 embroidered into the seats. Plenty of power from a stop but a great cruiser for the family. Cruise with an AM/FM with CD changer in glove compartment. Headliner is show quality. Trunk is finished with battery relocated to trunk. Things to address: the gas gauge is not connected, windshield wipers installed but no motor. 55 never saw rain. Windows has little hazing in corners. I use a navigation system for speed so never hooked up the speedometer cable. Little bubbling in paint and few cracks but you will have to look for them. Chrome has some pitting. These Fords are rare and it's even more rare to see them finished to this level, both in terms of style and quality. Want something unique? Try this mild custom on for size.
