Vehicle Detail
Selling my 1985 RX-7 GSL-SE Turbo. It is a low original miles Florida car in very nice condition. Very nice paint. No rust ever. Never hit or cut up. Same owner for over 15 years. This car has many modifications but it still retains its factory appearance, has cold air conditioning and drives like a stock car...untill you get on boost! It has been built with a J-spec 13b Turbo II motor and strong Turbo II transmission. Motor has approx 30k miles on it since rebuilt. Car has 139k miles. Microtech LT-8 ECU with handheld controller and custom tune. New Precision 67-66 ball bearing turbo. Custom tubular exhaust manifold with Turbonetics wastegate. Upgraded fuel system with bigger injectors and Walboro fuel pump. Aeromotive FPR. Large oil cooler. Large front mount intercooler. Larger radiator with electric fan. Custom aluminum tubing. HKS blow off valve. Greddy profec B boost control. Heat wrapped 3'' downpipe with wastegate dump plumbed in. High flow Cat converter. Full 3'' Racing Beat stainless catback exhaust. (nice deep sound) TII stock crank fire ignition. Battery relocated to rear storage bin. ACT street/strip clutch. Rear limited slip differential rebuilt with new clutches and bearings. I have a huge stack of reciepts. Car runs excellent. Very reliable. Runs cool, idles smooth and is happy in hot Florida traffic. It has never been raced or beat on. I only run between 10-13 lbs of boost but it still makes a very safe reliable 320+ RWHP and is capable of much more. VERY FAST. Like I mentioned earlier the car retains cold A/C and all the goodies the GSL-SE package came with. Suspension, brakes, wheels etc. are all stock. (definitely a sleeper) It has a touchscreen Navigation/DVD/rear camera stereo unit and custom installed power remote doorlocks. Power steering, power windows (they work but are a bit slow) and sunroof. All guages work as they should and still retains the factory shift buzzer. Interior and seats are in very nice shape with only minimal fading. The transmission shifts perfect and is quiet with no grinds. Car drives and brakes straight. Very minimal steering play. It was painted a fer years ago with a nice base/clear paint job. The issues are... a couple cracks in the dash, missing plastic defroster vent by the windshield, missing ashtray (where I keep boost control and ECU controller), some chipping of the paint under the rubber front valance and the front tires will need replacing soon. Its a great unique car. I've tried to describe the car the best I can...Call me with any questions you may have or to set up a time to come inspect and drive it. Thanks. Ph. 239-218-9114
