The Chevrolet Camaro is an automobile manufactured by General Motors under the Chevrolet brand, classified as a pony car, and some versions also as a muscle car. It went on sale on September 29, 1966, for the 1967 model year and was designed as a competing model to the Ford Mustang. The car shared its platform and major components with the Pontiac Firebird, also introduced for 1967. First-generation Camaro debuted on a new rear-wheel drive GM F-body platform and would be available as a 2-door, 2+2 seating, coupé or convertible with a choice of 250ci inline-6 and 302ci, 307ci, 327ci, 350ci, or 396ci V8 powerplants. The Camaro was touted as having the same conventional rear-drive, front-engine configuration as Mustang and Chevy Nova. In addition, the Camaro was designed to fit a variety of power plants in the engine bay. The first-generation Camaro would last until the 1969 model year. This 69 RS Z/28 Tribute Roller is an easy project with all the hard expensive work already done. Details. This beauty is in rare form as the exterior has been completely restored and all the hard work is done, it just needs to be finished inside and out. Over $18,000 was spent on the exterior with all the receipts to prove it, as all the metal including the floors, trunk, and fenders are all new and the car is bondo and rust free. This car was intended to be a RS Z/28 Big Block Pro-Touring Camaro. The Tuxedo Black paint shines beautifully and does need a full wet sand and buff. The car does have a minor ding on the rear quarter. It was recently repainted and the body lines are arrow straight. The car comes with 15" Rally wheels and tires. The car has front disc brakes, rear drum brakes, and a 12 Bolt Posi Rear. The car comes with many new parts and also comes with a gas tank. All the glass is in tact and in good shape and does not need replacement. The car is an X44 with a rare radio delete and may even be a Copo as it was an old race car.
