Gentleman, it pains me to sell this amazing classic but I must part with it due to moving back across the country into a smaller house. I will not have any room to store this beauty inside like it has been most of it's life. It would be a sin to leave it out exposed to the elements. For sale at no reserve is my immaculate 300CD Turbo in Classic White over Blue Tex with a true original 181k miles. I have been around this car nearly my entire life. My father purchased it off the original owner (who was his best friend in college and a total geek with cars) in 1997. He kept it as a weekend car at our second home in California until 2008 when he passed away, at which point I inherited it and brought it back here. Between the two of us, there has been a small fortune invested in this car to keep it looking and operating like new. Just in my service binder alone there are over $11,000 in receipts in the past 7 years. I only took it out on the weekends and put a few miles on it here and there. It is ready to go anywhere you would like to take it! It has never been in an accident or had body work done on the panels. There are no major dents or dings on the car, save for a few rock chips. The engine fires right up and runs fantastic with no excessive smoking and idles perfectly. Turbo spools up great and the engine makes it's full power. No leaks anywhere. I always used Mobil 1 Turbo Diesel Truck 5W-40 full synthetic which is very good for this engine. Compression was recently tested at just below 400 on all cylinders. Trans shifts nice and tight, but not so hard it will snap your neck. The interior has been kept in outstanding condition. The chrome and trim look nice and the glass is all original. There are no typical things you would find with a car that was kept in the northeast for a bit of time. No rust bubbles or flaking paint. My detailer takes the car once every 6 months and does a full claybar, polish and interior dressing. All accessories work great including the cluster gauges, cruise control, original Becker radio, etc. The only issue I can think of is the power antenna motor just went, but that is an easy fix. Recent notable repairs (since 2008): - Trans rebuild at 159k miles by authorized MBZ shop.- Vacuum pump replaced. Did not fail originally, turned out only needed a brake booster- $5,000 Glasurit paint job in fall of 2009. Fully stripped and refinished.- Vacuum actuators for doors- HVAC system replaced July 2010- All seats re-upholstered and new floor mats, July 2013- Entire suspension replaced. Shocks, control arms, bushings etc @ 175k miles- Sunroof motor replaced- Replaced speakers with JL Audio- Valve adjustment and all fuel filters including in-tank, Sep 2014- New radiator Oct 2014 and trans fluid/filter change.- Full brake job new rotors, pads and calipers Jun 2014- 4 New Michelin tires this month. This car has been shipped from coast to coast in an enclosed trailer several times and never had any issues.
