Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is a 1955 Chevrolet Gasser with racing history out of Texas. The history of this car is well documented on the HAMB and still features the original shiny paint and hand lettering as seen in historic pictures of the car. The car is now located in Sacramento, California where it has been warehoused inside since its journey out west. The car has a one piece fiberglass lift-off front clip with real headlights and trim rings and an aluminum dimple died grille. The front group sits on top of a chassis that has been professionally grafted to a dropped straight axle front end featuring brand new arched dual leaf springs, brand new GM metric disc brakes, and a Saginaw steering box connected to the factory steering column. Within the frame rails is a built 355 SBC set back approximately 10" into the firewall. The engine has reworked aftermarket heads, comp cams super mother thumper cam shaft, hydraulic lifters, double roller timing chain, deep 7qt fabricated oilpan with kicked out sump, fresh MSD pro-billet distributor. The engine has very low mileage since being built. The engine is backed by a Super T-10 4 speed with Hurst Vertigate shifter. Out back the car has a fully chromed 1957 Oldsmobile/Pontiac rear end with an open carrier and 4.11 gears. Rear end comes with a wheel cylinder rebuild kit, new hardware, new shoes, axle seals and bearings but is missing drums. Chrome ladder bars included (See pictures of inside trunk). The car comes with the pictures 15"x10" Cragar wheels in the back and up front one (1) 15x4" Cragar wheel and a chrome roller on the opposing side (See pictures). Car has an outdated but solid 4 point cage installed, through the floors and tied into the frame (See pictures). The inside door skins have been cut out around the window regulator mounting points to reduce weight but the window mechanisms are still present and functional. Brand new front bucket seats with diamond tuck upholstery, Stewart Warner gauges. Car has a small amount of foot well rust (See pictures). Car comes with good original front and rear glass. Included with the sale are some spare parts. 2 Clutch master cylinders, 2 clutch slave cylinders, stock grille, brake parts, & fuel cell.On Mar-26-15 at 20:17:48 PDT, seller added the following information: Also included are a pair of fender well headers, one has been cut to be modified. New chrome wing windows (no glass), electric fan and a mechanical fan. Vehicle is sold as-is, where-is.
