Many things were improved by Porsche in 2002 compared to the 2001. The less problematic 3.6L was added with larger displacement, and despite it only having only 20hp more then its 3.4L predecessor it over went a serious renovation. In addition to the visual changes there were quite a lot of quality improvements, the chassis strengthening and safety features were improved.
