Vehicle Detail
Reliable 2007 Acura MDX w/ Technology package. Features 300 hp 3.7L VTEC V6 engine and the Acura SH-AWD system. Factory navigation with backup camera. This SUV has definitely earned its keep in my house as I have used it to haul everything from bikes, kayaks, beach stuff, luggage and building materials. The 3rd row seating while small, has definitely been a lifesaver in situations where we had 7 people to transport. The engine runs strong and smooth and as well as the transmission. Its very fast - zero to sixty in under 6.5 seconds. The timing belt and water pump were replaced at 110,000 miles by the local Honda Dealer. I have the receipt for that. New disc brake rotors / pads front and rear were also replaced about 6 months ago. All of the power equipment works fine. Windows, door locks, power moon roof, heated seats, air conditioning. 2 roof mounted bike racks (Acura branded) included. There is an aftermarket overhead DVD player that I installed. I wired it with an external power switch so that it could be turned on and off without the ignition key. Good for when my daughter would be watching a movie and I had to run into a store and wasn't going to leave the keys in the car. The tires probably have about 25-30% tread left. As the 2nd owner, I have driven it about 100,000 miles with no major issues. Regular oil changes were done most of the time at my local Honda Dealer. (Hamilton Honda, NJ). The steering wheel was replaced for cosmetic reasons with a newer one from a 2010 MDX. The matching leather shift knob was also swapped for a nice newer one. The front leather show wear as any car with 140k+ miles but I used a leather dye and restoration kit recently to improve the appearance. The paint is in good condition , no peeling or fading, still very glossy , no rust holes or bubbles, just various scratches and small dings as noted in the photos. I noticed a tiny hole in the leather near the center of the rear seat. A 1/4 inch slit. There's also a lot of scrapes along the rear bumper from shoving heavy stuff in and out of the trunk of the vehicle. Last summer, I clumsily drove too close to the garage door opening while backing out and scrapped the right fender along with the side view mirror. A couple mounting tabs on the front bumper broke off and rather then spending a lot of money at a body shop, I decided to just glue it back and touched up affected areas as best as I could. See photo. Heavy duty rubber floor mats and cargo mat are included. The front and rear mats are genuine Honda/Acura embossed mats. Its been a great SUV and very comfortable. I have driven to Florida and Myrtle Beach SC from New Jersey several times. The battery was replaced about a year ago, supplied by AAA. I have tried to describe the vehicle as best as I can but it is 8 years old with 145,000 miles on it so there will be obvious wear and tear. Please read and understand the specific buying procedures before bidding. Upon completion of the auction, the buyer must contact me and pay $500 as a deposit within 24 hours. The balance will be due within 3 days as certified funds unless other arrangements are discussed and agreed upon PRIOR to the end of the auction. The title will be signed over and released after full payment is received. There is no lien on this vehicle. It was paid off October 2014. We plan on going to the NJ DMV this week to replace the released title with a new one. The vehicle has a valid NJ state inspection sticker good until June 2016. Buyer must pick up or arrange for his/her own transport service and have their own tags / insurance if driving away. On Mar-23-15 at 12:05:02 PDT, seller added the following information: There is a squeaking noise coming from inside the dash. It is intermittent.. It comes and goes at random. You only notice it at idle or slower speeds so I suspect it could be a speedometer or tachometer cable that needs lubrication? Whatever it is, it doesn't affect the drivability or performance of the vehicle. I posted a video on youtube to show exactly what I am hearing and seeing. https://youtu.be/0fw3dU48-uM I also just posted some additional photo of the undercarriage of the car. Tom
