1983 Datsun 280ZX 2+2 -- 178,000 Miles; 5 speed; T-Top; Silver; Engine & Transmission run fine (fifth gear roars); Needs cosmetic work. Original Service Manual included. I have owned the Z-Car since 1984 and have loved it. It needs a paint job. The interior would benefit from new carpets and upholstery. The front seats have lambskin covers. The dash has a dash cap cover. The radio and antenna need replacing. The oil has been changed regularly. Maintenance records available since 2000; most maintenance history since 1983. There are a few surface rust spots underneath the paint but the car is solid. The engine runs smoothly. Fifth gear roars. Will need tires soon. Question--Can you specify more regarding rust spots; areas, size, surface or through? Answer--There are a half dozen rust spots that are generally the size of a nickle/quarter and a couple dozen pea size blisters which have bubbled under the paint and are on the surface, mostly on the front of the hood (not through). Question--Original paint? Answer--The car was repainted in 2001 Question--Engine or transmission redone since new? Answer--The engine and transmission are original and have not had major work done on them. Question--Suspension condition, noises? Answer--The suspension system seems in good condition and I have not noticed any unusual noises.
