All original! My Mom bought this car in 1989 (I have the dealership receipts). She got diagnosed with cancer in 2014 and transferred the car to me. I have 25 years of service records! (see attached pic). I am selling this car because I just don't have the time or space for it. I have not done any work to it since my mother gave it to me (other than change the oil and drive it around the block every once in awhile.). The engine and transmission run well. It well easily get from point a to point b and sound like any good 5.0. Other than that, this vehicle does have a lot wear and it shows. Look, I will be honest. My mom was a heavy smoker and mostly lived in apartments the past 25 years, so yes it was kept outside most of its life. Here are all the known defects, all of which gave out over time due to wear (my mom never had the money to repair): Odometer and Speedometer quit working around 2004 (it still passed inspection though so my mom kept driving it) The odomter currently reads 56,505. You can tell from the service records it was at 156,505 when it went out. (I have calculated my mom put approximately 30,000 additional miles on since then (I have all service records). Having said that, the mileage listed of 186,505 is approximate! The original car radio is still in the vehicle but went out several years ago The AC does not work (no air comes on at all) The power locks dont work The interior seat cloth is very worn (see attached pics) and the cloth in the trunk area is just about non-existent There are multiple rust spots on the car (see attached pic) The door latches and trunk latches still work but they are delicate and worn The interior cloth ceiling is very worn Seat Belt assembly is worn / loose where it screws into the floor Tire tread is low Here are some positives: Engine and Transmission run good! No fluid leaks No engine service or other warning lights come on Never been in a major accident Have 25 years of service records (hundreds of pages stuffed in a 3 inch thick envelope - see attached) Have original car receipt (was bought in 1989 at a Ford Dealer in Texas) I also have a certified letter from Ford in 1999 verifying the car's exact spec information(see attached photo) Good sounding exhaust Great accelaration (My mom always told me this car came with "racing headers" but I haven't found anyway to verify this, so dont quote me on it) Car was never raced since my mom bought it (This was my mom's primary transportation from 1989 to 2010) Although you see GT brake lights in the pictures, I do have the original LX lights! (I can include with the car) The car does come with "The Club" (safety feature on steering wheel) Car was in south east texas its whole life so it never had to deal with any snow or extreme cold conditions. This car has been kept original and never raced. It runs good and sounds great. Yes this car has 27 years of wear and will need some work...but, given that I can provide 25 + years of service records, you will know exactly what you are getting with this classic!
