Vehicle Detail

This is a well maintained R90/6 purchased two years ago from the original owner in Phoenix, AZ. The bike has 81,653 miles but looks great and runs well. The following maintenance has been done the past two years: fork rebuild with new Progressive springs, new OEM master brake cylinder with new brake lines and pads, rebuilt carburetors, new OEM braided fuel lines, new OEM fuel petcocks, new Ikon rear shocks, new push rod tube seals and top end re-seal, rebuilt speedo and tach by Palo Alto Speedometer, new Bridgestone tires, new OEM brake, throttle and clutch cables, and new X2 AGM battery. The bike has a new Corbin leather seat but the original BMW seat is included and can be easily swapped. Also included are the original tool set and BMW mechanics shop towel, the original seat with new trim parts (cover will soon need to be replaced), Krauser saddlebags and brackets, Krauser crash bars, Vetter fairing and the original owner's manual and Clymers manual. Also included is an original "Elephant Ear" front fender. This is a collectors item, numbered 342 out of 500 made in the 1970s. Apart from its cool style, it was designed to keep rain runoff from soaking the rider. It has never been installed but would look great with the BMW paint and pin striping. Bike has been well maintained throughout its life and has the normal patina of a cared for but 40 year old bike. The tank, fenders and side covers are all original paint and show some nicks and scratches. The chrome mufflers and aluminum rims are in good shape but show some oxidation. The bike runs great with no leaks. It's also fun to maintain as original OEM parts are still available from BMW, several dealers maintain an online parts fiche and order system, and there are several good sources of information on servicing these machines including the BMW Airheads Club. I would keep the bike but getting close to retirement and can no longer do it justice in riding time. It has a clean title and is currently licensed with a vintage tag in the State of Arizona. You will have to arrange shipping. I used uShip on another motorcycle that I purchased on eBay last year and it worked very well. They will quote you pricing and I will coordinate with them on shipping arrangements once you select a specific shipper from that service. Or you can pick up on your own here in Phoenix.
