Vehicle Detail

0 0 0 1969 Chevrolet CHEVELLE Malibu CONVERTIBLE. Rare! Runs well but may have exhaust leak. Automatic Powerglide transmission. Same owner since 1987. 84,054 miles on 250/V6 since rebuilt in 1993. Some minor rust (see picture) but body is straight with solid frame/undercarriage and solid floors and trunk. Original vinyl bench seats are in good condition underneath aftermarket velour covers. Black convertible top needs Armor All but has glass rear window and excellent working motor. Needs paint and has some dings and some pitting on bumpers. The car needs mainly cosmetic work, especially the interior dash (see picture). This is a great car to customize. On Feb-17-15 at 10:33:26 PST, seller added the following information: REVISION: Engine is a 250 STRAIGHT-6, not a V6. Sorry for the confusion. On Feb-18-15 at 15:47:10 PST, seller added the following information: Added some pics: couldn't get much of the frame or undercarriage and tough to get the trunk, but there is only SURFACE RUST - no rot or holes. You can even see a glimpse of the original trunk liner. Photos show that both armrests are damaged and the door panels are starting to curl at the very bottom. Door sills are in great shape, although the driver side window sometimes slips off its track. Rear bumper has some surface rust. Engine compartment is as you see it, but I have brand new hood insulation (still in wrapper) ready to be used. I also took a closeup of the only rust spots, which are on the doors. The car has mainly been garage kept for the past fifteen years and has rarely been driven, but it starts right up, runs rough for about ten minutes, then has a tapping sound (not a valve tap). This is NOT a show car YET. I am trying to represent it as honestly as I can. You WILL need to do work on this car (and spend more money) to get it looking like the classic that it is. It is sold AS iS. I bought this car in 1987 in PA and it has been gently driven and cared for until it was stored in 2001. It was then used only once or twice a year, but it has lost its luster...
