Vehicle Detail
1966 Dodge A100 Van Restored and Ready! For sale today is this very clean, very straight recently restored 1966 A100 Van. This van is sure to turn heads wherever you go and you can bet that you will not be able to go ANYWHERE without being pestered or bugged about what this van is all about. I will do my best to go over absolutely everything about this van and provide numerous videos and photos to assist any interested buyers. First a little background on the van....This van was restored around 4-5 years ago by a gentleman in Michigan who spent a very, very long time bringing this van into its glory. It was sold soon after its restoration to a family member of mine who kept it in heated storage on his property and only drove it to local cruise nights and car shows, in fact the last time it was driven before I took possession of it was early summer of 2014 for about 35 miles. I took possession of the van in January after his passing in December of this past year, his daughter reached out to me (as well as some others in the family) and said that she was needing to sell it in order to settle his estate and pay some of the bills associated with his sudden passing. She had had it for sale locally for about a week or so but did not know how to go about reaching the proper audience and did not have the time to wait for the proper buyer, so I purchased the van to fund the debts associated with his passing and help the family as time was running out to settle the debts. He was very passionate about this van and its condition shows that very well. I have a clear title in my name and have decided to sell the van, as you can see in the pictures and video I have a few to many vehicles to begin with, although I would love to keep the van, I am sure there is someone else out there that will love it as much as he did. I will go over all other the vans features below. As stated earlier, this van is a 1966 A100. It is easy to see that this van has gone through a lot of major work. All of the sheet metal is straight as an arrow and it is near impossible to find any dents or waves on the body. There is no rust/rot to be found on this vehicle. None. Just a little bit of road dirt/dust underneath and dust from being in storage. It has a 225 Slant 6 motor that was rebuilt as well as a Jasper Transmission (see pics) Just by looking at it you can see that it has been pulled, repainted and re-sealed. There are also new motor mounts. The Slant 6 even has the 1920 Holley Carb that was rebuilt as well. New fuel system and lines along with a cooling system rebuild and new exhaust (exits on the side in front of drivers side rear wheel) The Van is a Satin Blue that looks beautiful in the sunlight and resembles a Vinyl wrap look almost but it is a very nice, clean paint job. Not something that was back yard painted and the prep work was also done well. You can also see that the van has a beautiful set of Cragar Chromes with skinny's in the front and American GT white letter fatties in the rear. The rear axel was removed and rebuilt/repainted and the front suspension/leafs were replaced with newer components at the time of rebuild as well. The steering gear was completely replaced as well and you can see that the van has a chrome Grant steering wheel. All of the glass was replaced and all of the window seals were replaced. The weather stripping and seals on all of the doors were replaced and the entire inside of the van was painted to match the exterior. The interior was kept bare so the world is your oyster! Lay down some carpet, build in shelving or use the van for a promo/work truck. The doors all shut and open wonderfully and they are free of rust/rot on the bottoms as well. All of the dash was painted/cleaned and the automatic on the dash is on the rare side. Even the parking brake works! The seats were redone in black leather and look great! The engine compartment seals great and there is little to no noise from the engine while driving. The wipers work as well as all of the lights and even the heater (as seen in the video provided below) The windows crank evenly and the door locks work as well. The engine runs great and has no leaks, ticks or knocks. The oil pressure and temperature are right where they should be and the speedo as well as the odometer work. The mileage is said to be true on the truck but since everything was redone its not much of a point to be made. The Jasper transmission shifts perfectly! The brakes were rebuilt as well and are still set up as a drum setup. The bumpers were removed during the paint process and replaced with the custom brackets as seen in the pictures. All of the pin striping on the van was hand painted and gives it a really cool old school feel. The exhaust on the van was redone as well and it sounds like a V8! It has a locking gas cap with keys and the door handles all turn and operate as they should. The flooring in the van as well as the underside are rock solid. This van is not a project! I repeat this van is not a project! You could drive this back to California if you so desired. I put about 55 miles on this van and had it inspected at a local dealership as well, the only thing the shop said it needed was a disco ball in the back and a fur carpet haha! I would like to keep the van and don't have to get rid of it but I would like to see it go to a good home, this whole journey started by trying to take it off of my Aunts hands as she was the executrix of the will and needed to settle some debts. I am not hurting for the money by any means so please keep the low offers or ridiculous "trade offers" to yourselves. I do not have any paperwork for the work performed, it might be floating around at his house still but you can literally look at the engine, transmission, cooling system, suspension etc. and see that its had a major overhaul. If there is any other questions I can answer I will certainly do my best to accommodate. Last but not least the Cummins, Terminator Cobra, Turbo Z and dumpy Ford Fusion in the pictures / videos are not for sale haha, not that anyone would ask but just in case I am covering that now. Thank you for your time and I hope that you find this Van as cool as I did. Please no trades or ridiculous offers! Thanks Personal Inspections by buyers are welcomed before bidding, nothing to hide here the van speaks for itself.
