This 1983 Mercedes Benz 300 SD runs and drives very well. It shifts correctly and tracks straight. The brakes are good and it has a nice set of radial tires with five (5) Factory Alloy Wheels. The chrome is very good, rubber trim and weather-stripping is virtually undamaged. The car was owned since new by an elderly couple from suburban Pennsylvania who maintained it very well. It’s well appointed and runs and drives great. This car is a real time capsule and accident free. Car has a clean Carfax history report. When driving this car, every aspect of driving is under complete and delightful control. The acceleration feels strong, steering precision is exemplary, and brake capacity is legendary. This is a car built to take on the Alps, but this one has been garage kept and extremely well cared for. The 179,000 miles currently on the odometer equates to about 6000 miles per year and are a low fraction of the Million Mile capability of these cars. The interior is in very good condition with hardly any signs of wear. The car has never been smoked in. Wood trim is nice too! The paint shines well and there is no rust anywhere. Aside from a couple very small dings it is in excellent condition considering the year.
