You will be pleased to know it is a left hand drive equipped with manual transmission. The XK120 has proven itself to be stout over the last five decades. The cast-iron blocks appear to be fairly bullet-proof, and while the Moss gearbox may require delicate shifts, it's certainly up to the task of transmitting all that engine power to the rear wheels. This car was shipped twice across the pond to compete in 1952 races. In 1975, the car was returned to California for a full frame off restoration. Though it's not a 'preservation class' original, the car is very drivable, and worthy of a future restoration project. In the early eighties, the car was donated to The Owls Head Transportation Museum (all vehicles are in working condition and maintained that way) and it was acquired by the current owner in a charity auction to benefit the Museum. Since 1984, the vehicle was faithfully driven as a "Sunday" outing car. Our dealership currently maintains and stores the car. Certain modifications were done to the car to further bring out its uniqueness. The front head lights were changed and molded into the front panels. This added to it's already great smooth lines. The original engine was removed and the reliable 283 Chevrolet Engine was installed. To add additional comfort air scoops were in stalled for both front wheel wells and air conditioning was installed to provide added driver comfort. Rare Borrani wire wheels were installed. The dash was slightly modified in order to add a radio. Currently the speedometer is not working, however the rpm gauge and all others work fine. Over the last 13 years, extensive work has been kept up to maintain this car is optimal running condition - all brake cylinders, brake hoses, Battery, wiring harnesses, Carburetor have been replaced with new. A new aluminum fuel tank has been installed, and front grill and bumpers re-chromed. This car would make an excellent addition to one's garage or collection. It is very reasonably priced and can be enjoyed immediately. I have owned this car for 30 years and now find myself in circumstances that necessitate my selling it. I am looking for a good home and a person that will give it TLC. With these conditions I am selling the car far below the current market.
