I bought this bike about 4 years ago as a fixer upper. It had been sitting for a long time when I got it. I changed the oil,stuck a battery and some fuel in it and was able to get it running. It was charging, all instruments including the gear indicator worked, it went into gear and road around the block ok. The fuel tank was pretty rusted so I found a nice used one and had it repainted along with a new fuel petcock. The fuel hoses need replacing and the carbs will surely need cleaning. I also flushed the front and rear brake system out and they work just fine. Put a new seat cover on. The front tire looks new the rear is worn. So, that's the story. Had good intentions of following through with the restoration but fast forward three years and I have just lost interest. The bike look's pretty nice but needs some TLC. I have a clear Illinois title from the previous owner. Any old GS fans out there?
