This is a 1987 Isuzu diesel PUP pickup that I have used as an inexpensive hauler for the past year. It has the desirable Isuzu 2.2l 4 cylinder diesel engine with a 5 speed manual transmission. The truck has good AC and heat, power steering and brakes and an am/fm cd player. I bought it from the family that bought it new. Lived most of its life in Florida. If you baby the truck a little it gets near 40mpg. I don't know the actual mileage as the speedometer was not working and was replaced. Speedometer is now working. Interior is average for the year. Dash is cracked badly has an aftermarket cover. Seat has a seat cover. Lights and gages work. Has good heat and Ac Selector for defrost-vent is stiff should probably be lubed. Exterior New front tires Rears will last quite a while. Body seems to be quite straight for the year but does have a few smaller dings. I took several pics so you can look it over closely. Seems very solid. Has been repainted at some time in the past. Has a hitch on the rear. Door hinge pins have wear and could be replaced. You have to shut the door a little harder than normal. Mechanical 2.2 liter Isuzu engine has always started for me. Does smoke and shake when first started as all of these older diesels do. Engine sounds and runs well. Does smoke some when accelerating on the highway (as they all do). Has the 5 speed manual transmission which helps both mileage and interstate driving. Had new clutch, throwout bearing and pressure plate installed about 2.5 years ago. Has been repainted at some time in the past. Has power steering and power brakes. I dont know the actual mileage as the speedometer had quit working before I bought it. That has since been repaired and the speedometer is working correctly. Newer diesel battery. Had a new water pump installed as the old one was starting to drip a drop on the ground now and then. Newer belts, wiper blades and grill. The old one was cracked. I have a rough but usable factory shop manual and extra filter that goes with the truck. These little diesels are very tough and seem to run forever. This has been good utility vehicle for me that has always started and been very dependable. It does have a rear hitch but is really not suited to pulling heavy loads. Mowers, motorcycles building supplies etc. The bed can easily handle full size sheets of plywood. Clear title. The truck starts, runs, shifts and stops well. I would expect the pickup to be good for a long time but it is used. Don't expect a new or like new pickup. It is used and is several years old. It is better than most of the diesel pups I have seen. In my opinion the truck looks above average for its age. I took several pics so that you can look it over and ask any questions you may have. The truck is used and is sold asis\whereis with no warranty. You will need to pickup at my home in SW Virginia. If you chose to "buy it now" I require a $250 deposit via Paypal at that time. If the auction runs to the end I require the deposit at auction end. The remainder to be paid in cash upon pickup.I would accept a personal check but would need 10 days for it to clear prior to truck pickup. Cash is best.
