Vehicle Detail

I discovered this 1969 Honda CT90K1 in Thompson, Montana on 9/10/14.  The previous owner had owned the bike according to the title since 7/15/1977. I assume this is a two-owner bike. The miles show 2039 and I believe they are original. It comes with a clean clear title and is ready for you to enjoy on the trails or on the street!                     I brought this rare bike back to my shop for a complete clean up and preservation.  It is a completely original, unmolested example.  If you are looking for a trailer queen that you can’t take out and ride everyday, this is not the bike for you, however if you decide to show it, it would do very well in the preservation class.                      This CT90 has been threw a complete clean up and preservation.  I have not “restored it”.  My goal was to end up with a great running original example and I hit the mark!                     Following is a list of work I have done on the bike over the last 4 months to insure the next owner has an enjoyable, reliable, riding experience.   1)      Strip bike down to bare frame and clean every part 2)      Go thru all electrical wiring, bulbs and connectors. Everything works as it should. 3)      Clean brake drums front and rear and replace front and rear brake shoes 4)      Replace rear tire, tube and wheel strap 5)      Clean and detail engine, new spark plug, adjust cam chain tension, replace points and condenser, adjust valves, replace kick shaft seal, and shifter shaft seal. Adjust clutch.  Perform compression test-110 psi (see photo) 6)      Disassemble, inspect and clean triple tree, re-grease bearings, and re-paint in correct “Cloud Silver” top bracket of triple tree 7)      Disassemble front forks, clean, replace fork seals and fork boots and fill with 130 millimeters each of fresh fork oil 8)      Clean and rebuild carburetor, new gaskets, packing kit etc. 9)      Flush gas tank, replace fuel lines and clips with correct new ones and install in-line fuel filters 10)  Disassemble, clean, and test all handlebar switches, turn signal, horn button, and high/low beam.  Replace dried out wire cover tubes in handlebars. Replace mirrors.  Replace headlight and all dash bulbs with new ones. 11)  Replace rear turn signal lens and go thru rear brake switches, wiring etc. 12)  Light touch up painting, cleaning and detailing for hours and hours.                  This fun little bike is perfect for trail riding or around town.  It has the High/Low range transmission.  In high range you can cruise at 45-55 miles per hour all day long and put it in low range with the flick of the switch and you can climb hills like a mountain goat!  All this and 90 to 110 miles per gallon!                 Please view all 94 photos and call Corky Walker at 307-690-1148 with any questions or to discuss a “Buy It Now” price.  I will also deliver the bike to you myself for a reasonable fee.  Thanks for looking and Happy Bidding!
