Vehicle Detail
Titled 1971 Honda CB450 Cafe Racer motorcycle for sale. I took this bike in on trade for a Yamaha XS650 about two years ago and it has sat in my shop since. The gentleman that built it spent over $8000 on this build using top of the line BCR (Benjies Cafe Racer) fiberglass tank (coated inside with Caswell), BCR seat, BCR tail loop, BCR battery holder, BCR rear sets, BCR stainless exhaust (amazing), BCR front and rear fenders, etc. The bike also has upgraded CB750 rear shocks, Mikuni VM carbs, cross-drilled brake rotor, alloy top yolk, clip-on handlebars, custom-made aluminum velocity stacks, All Balls racing tapered steering head bearings, steel braided brake line, BSA headlight, Ceriani fork ears. Frame is powder-coated and the bike has extensive polishing. Probably so much more that I don't even know what to list. I do see new gaskets on the top end. Paint is okay for a rider, not show quality (see pics).I can see there was a leak on the tank which was repaired...most folks probably wouldn't even see it, but there it is anyway. Frame #: CB450-5006197 Engine #: CB450F-5006208 When the bike came in on trade, it was running poorly but I did check the compression and it was good on both cylinders so I took it. I assume it needs carb or timing tuning. I also think the front forks seem mushy. If I kept it I would rebuild them, however, he rode it that way. I parked it in the corner of my shop and it has sat there since. (I'm into Brit bikes, so it's very low on my list of priorities). Overall, this is a really beautiful bike with tons of potential to make some lucky guy or gal very stoked, but it will take some know how to dial it in. It was built by an amateur, so that needs to be understood by the next owner. This bike is being sold as is, as the parts alone are worth well over twice my listing price. Feel free to email questions. I will answer any I can, however, I am not a CB450 expert. Please see photos for more details. I have additional photos on my Photobucket account, but Ebay won't let me post the link. Please do a Google search for "Photobucket" and "Jojo59cafe" to bring up the additional photos. Or send me an email and I will send you the link. PAYMENT & SHIPPING I require proof of payment within 48 hours of auction end. I will accept a cashier's check, money order, or Paypal. Buyer is responsible for shipping. I will assist you in any way that I can; buyer is responsible for all shipping arrangements. I reserve the right to end this auction early, provided that it does not have any bids, if it is sold locally. If you have a low eBay rating, please contact us before bidding.
