1994 Ford Thunderbird SuperCoupe Up for sale is my 1994 Ford Thunderbird SC. This car is 1 of 750 built in 1994 with the 5-speed manual transmission. Fewer and fewer Super Coupes can be found on the road these days and one with a manual transmission makes it even rarer. Great fun to drive with the stick shift. Exterior color is Opalescent White (Tri Color) and the Interior has Tan Leather/Cloth seats. The car has approximately 156,000 miles on it. I have owned this car since 1996 when it had 15,000 miles on it. Not a new car by any means, but for being over 20 years old it is in outstanding shape. It drives and rides fine. However, the timing chain can be heard rattling when the gas pedal is floored while driving, so, the timing chain will eventually need to be replaced. Also, the engine starts to get hot when driving hard and there is a small coolant leak somewhere. The struts and tires will also need to be replaced by whoever buys it. The A/C needs recharging. The car is currently displaying the check engine light on the dash; but, there is no notice of any change in performance. The 1994-1995 model years were the official send-off for the Super Coupe and included a revised and much improved dashboard, better supercharger, and freer flowing exhaust. These years also do NOT include the problematic ABS system that plagues the earlier SCs. The 1994-1995 engines also included internal improvements to improve efficiency and reliability. This car is stock for the most part. However, over the years I have replaced a lot of parts as needed in order to maintain the vehicle. Below is a list of some of the things that have been performed through the years:Replaced the stock fluid filled factory engine mounts with solid rubber engine mounts from a performance shop. Replaced the front rack and pinion steering. Replaced the front end components (Upper and lower control arms, inner and outer control arms, shocks, ect.)Fading original front head lights were replaced 3 years ago. Fuel pump was replaced last year.Clutch, pressure plate, and release bearing/slave were replaced a few years ago. No issues what so ever with the clutch. The gear on the instrument cluster odometer was broken and replaced about 7 years ago. Brakes are really good. The rotors and pads were replaced not long ago. Belts, radiators hoses, spark plugs (platinum), spark plug wires, ect… Have been replaced and are all functioning fine. Alternator and battery were replaced 2 years ago. Window regulator (driver’s side) was repaired. I also have the parts needed to rebuild the passage side window regulator if it ever fails. This car also comes with all the extras that I have. This includes a complete set of Ford factory service manuals plus the Hayes and Chilton’s repair manuals. Extra floor mats, oil filters, interior trim pieces, A complete front end rebuild kit (inner, outer tie rod ends, upper and lower control arms, sway bar bushings, and steering links). Super charger snout rebuild parts (bearings, seals, fluid, ect….) Everything that I have that works on this car will be included in the purchase. This really is a great car and I hate to see it go. I am the second owner and have owned for over 18 years (since 1996). Additionally, it has been my primary vehicle for transportation the whole time.
