Vehicle Detail
Vintage Show Car/ Drag Car 80s World of Wheels Show car 1968 Camaro RS/SS 396 4 speedVIN # 124378N319842 This car was just taking out of storage after 25 years of being in a underground parking garage( have photos.) This car was in Waukesha Wisconsin sense 1976, when it was repoed and the motor and transmission was removed at that time.. Than had other motors and trans installed for some years..Car was painted in 1979 and used at the drag strip and car shows. One of the shows was the Milwaukee World of Wheels. Then in 1989 a 454 was built for the car and still has it now. In 1990 it was place in a under ground parking garage and was never remove till 12-10-2014. I have more details on car but not going to write a book in my add. Car started life as a 1968 Camaro RS/SS 396 4 speed car. It was black with a white vinyl top and deluxe interior with Black Hounds Tooth seats. Speedometer says 40,100 I think that in original miles. Now motor is a 454 that has a solid Cam(have specs), roller rockers, Aluminum intake, Headers and Predator carburetor. Motor has around 2000 miles on it.. Car is very hard to Verify I can only tell you what I see.. It has the stock clutch pedal still in the car and the big block heater core is in the car.. Please do your own research.. Trans is a turbo 400 with a shift kit and a 2800 stall convertor. Rear end is the stock 12 bolt with 4.10 gears and a post unit.. Car had 4 wheel drums and now has Willwood disk brakes in the front. Have original drum brakes for front. Interior still has the stock seats someone replace carpet at sometime.. Headliner and door panels are in great shape. All windows are great with the astro vent decals on the front..The front windshield is cracked on the passenger side corner, Not in eye view from inside car. There is a bolt in Chrome roll bar installed. Car didn’t have a gauge package. Now it have a tach and gauges under dash. Everything in the car works but heat isn't hot do to no heater hoses hooked up. Now the body. The body and paint was last done in 1979. Paint isn't perfect but very good shape for 1979. No major chips or scratches. No major dings or dents. There is some cracks by the rear flares. There is some bubbles in the paint on quarters and one fender on the bottom.. (see photos) Still has the All original sheet metal except the hood. Under side of car is great no rot anywhere. Frame rails, spring pockets are all great there is no rust issues. Trunk floor is very solid no rust issues. Doors and trunk seams are good no filler in them. The Vacuum canister for RS headlights is remove but it was in the trunk. The 4 speed center console is also in the trunk. All chrome is original and not show quality but very presentable. There is a set of bolt in Sub frame connectors and drive shaft hoop installed. Also have the stock 4 speed drive shaft. I think the wheels are American racing that are in good shape.. There is a rear tire that has plugs in it.. Beside that tires are ok .. Car now runs and drives but I would trailer home just do to sitting for 25 years. It does run and drive but no long trips made. I will provide all info I have on this car to winning bidder.. I'm sure I missed somethings but just ask.. Reserve is set very low on this awesome peace of history. If not sold it will return to the World of Wheels Show in Milwaukee WI. this winter for its anniversary. I will sell car to a over seas buyer. Here is some Videos http://youtu.be/YJRJpH97knc http://youtu.be/-nsvyCSv2ks Car can be seen in Mukwonago Wi 53149 and will have to be picked up there also. I can help load but buyer is responsible for shipping. Must be payed for within 7 day after end of auction Any questions please ask 262-470-6696
