Vehicle Detail
I bought the vehicle mainly for winter use , I had the air pressure suspension system replaced with the standard SUV suspension, which helped lots more than I'd anticipated: it cleared off that ' unsure direction ' feeling you have when you drive large Ford SUV. That was gone, the cost of all four suspension replacement was a bit high but now it sure feels better especially when hauling heavy load. The doors and hatchback door work in perfect condition. THE ENGINE was in new shape and are no problems with it. Starts promptly, runs smooth and there are no concerns or any signs of worn down - ness with it. THE STEERING is perfect and stable, THE TRANSMISSION is smooth in shifting and running. THE FULL AUTOMATIC FOUR WHEEL switch is all well functional with modern- all inside the vehicle controls-. BRAKES are working as good as in a new vehicle. The front pads were recently replaced. The front Differential and left axle was replaced soon after I bought it to clear some dysfunction I didn't understand the details of , I was told one shouldn't expect any problems with them for a long time to come. The sun roof was replaced 5 months ago. Gas Mileage: Not bad for such a large and powerful SUV.. I clock 13- 14 MPG most times. I didn't get around to clock it precisely when towing but I noticed it wasn't much different .. I was surprised at that. Sound:: perfect satisfying sound system and radio. all working . I had some trouble with the multiple disc server of the CD system, It may be nothing though, since I am not familiar with such stuff. I just wanted to mention Heating and air : Gave me no complaints. The Freon was refilled last summer. Seats : are very comfortable with front seat power control and heating . all working. Note that there is a tear on the door side of the driver seat -see pictures - Doors : all in good function electronic locks . keyless entry Tires : I just bought new winter / snow tires for the season . They ran probably no more than 300 miles.. That is an almost Thousand Dollar adventure with this kind of vehicle. It is ready to go for the hard winter . Please note the ABS light is on for an unclear reason in the control unit , the mechanic couldn't find the reason, it doesn't seem to effect the brake function at all. The suspension light is naturally on due to the replacement of the system with a new one as explained above. it is not a dysfunction. I am selling it because I don't have the boat any longer and I have another Ford 4x4 for the winter Due to my rather demanding work I may not be able to answer your requests or questions in the expected time frame. I will normally take no phone calls unless prearranged by the email . The vehicle is in Bell Rive Illinois, And perhaps a viewing can be arranged but it is not promised. The vehicle is also advertised locally and may be sold without prior notice to any bidder. If this cause any inconvenience I also apologize for that The information given is what I have as a layperson and a private car owner and they are not derived of technical or professional knowledge, with this information are no guarantees intended or implied . I believe it is a very good purchase for anyone who wants a sturdy , sound, top of the line , durability proven vehicle, so unaffordable if new purchased nowadays.. I am not a salesman and not very good with the Auto- mechanical . If I unknowingly omitted any needed detail or made mistakes in expression I apologize. Our local mechanic however might help if any further detailed technical questions arise .. I wish you good luck. Thanks for looking in. A West
