Up for sale is a 1968 Oldsmobile Toronado. This is a complete car that I picked up in Houston TX. I purchased it with the intention of restoring it and driving it. One of the appealing things about this car is how solid it is on the bottom end. These cars are notorious for rusting out in the lower panels, but this car is 100% original and solid down there, with only surface oxidization of the paint. I had the original seats redone, and new carpet installed, so the interior looks fantastic - brand new. Then I got on to removing the original vinyl roof and found some serious corrosion problems under that skin. The roof is basically gone, and would need to be replaced or cut off if you want to make your own Toronado convertible. The engine is not currently running, I was told that it was running when parked in 04, and there was lubricant put in the cylinders. The engine turns over with a wrench. I have not invested any more time into the car since removing the vinyl roof skin.The car has 4 brand new tires on it with zero miles on them.I am selling this because I have too many other projects all going on right now too, and this one turned out to be more work than I anticipated. If you are looking for a solid Toronado parts car, this is it. The body is very straight, aside from a ding on the front right corner (Pictured). I have two new clear corner lenses in a box, along with all 4 original hubcaps which are in good shape. Clean and clear Texas title.
