1968 Corvette Roadster-This is a project car-And needs a complete restoration-So let me tell ya what I know about the car--Its definitely a project-It is a true Safari Yellow roadster-the motor in the car is an early 70's 350-I was told it was a police package 350-It runs but runs bad-It has to be a timing issue as it backfires and is missing pretty bad-But it does run-It has no brakes=the pedal is on the floor-The ignition switch sticks--so you have to play with it-but it works-The shifter is sloppy but also works-The car has power windows that don't seem to work-haven't really looked at them though-I think all the gauges work-Interior lights work-Headlights do go up and down-Looks like it has all new vacuum lines and a new canister-So they do go up and down-Pics of the interior speak for themselves-It needs to be redone--But its all there-The convertible top goes up and down fine and is actually pretty good-I didn't see any rips or tears and the rear window is good-Now as for the body on the car?? Where do I begin-It has a very poor paint job-Massive orange peel on the rear deck-It is just a very amateur paintjob and has some very amateur bodywork done to it-So it needs a paint job and some bodywork badly-Under the hood has some broken fiberglass by the hoodlatch on the front fender-I took a pic of it-Doors open and close nice and gaps aren't bad-I would ssume any bodyman could fix it-Its just a really bad paintjob-I do have the cover for the wipers-and I do have the bumpers for the car-They aren't bad-along with the original rims and hubcaps from 68-It has a set of later rally wheels and new tires-Car has been off the road for sometime-The frame appears to be very nice-Im no expert but look at the picsI tried to post as many pics of the frame as I could-If you would like to see anything specific let me know-But the undercarriage seems to be good-Rear tire carrier cover has a hole in it-and the front radiator support is rough-See the pics--But that just unbolts and put a new one on or fix that one--This is a serious auction and I require a $1000 non refundable deposit immediately following the close of the auction-So don't think your coming here and negotiating-I have given an honest description of the car-I have 100% feedback and have sold a lot of cars on here-This car is being sold as is--And is a project car and will need to be trailered-as it runs like crap and has no breaks--=But show me another 68 Roadster at this price--It has a NY Transferable registration-No titles in NY prior to 1973-Feel free to inspect the car-It is located in Elmira NY-
