I am sad to say that I have to sell my 1966 VW beetle.It was restored about 4 years ago,and we now need to sell it due to our 2 young children cannot ride in it(No seat/safety belts)We have had it in storage for about 4 years since restoration,restored to as close to original as could be,and even the paint is original color,although was re-painted.But it now has some small issues.we have invested nearly $7800.00 into this car including purchase price.My husband was starting it,on a regular basis,but then had to have some back surgery and has not had the strength or time to keep it attend to.He would go down to the storage unit,start it and drive it around the storage facility to keep it running and the battery charged up.But for the last year and a half,has not been able to.We had it flat bedded to our house,and it is here now,because the battery is dead.It will need a new one,so right now the only way to start it is jump start it.but my husband can't push it to do so.The issues I talked about are as follows:We had it painted four years ago,before we stored it, by a body shop in New Hampshire,and they did a bad job.The paint is flaking off on the fenders(see pics)also there is a small hole in headliner about the size of a dime,probably from a mouse,and it will need a new battery.Also the original 6 volt radio doesn't work,but We have never checked it out.We have the original Conn.title,and it will also come with a bill of sale.This is a nice running driving car,and before we had kids,we really enjoyed it.It has a remote starter button under dash that was installed for theft reasons.Just turn on key,and hit the button,and with a new battery it starts right up.It comes with a nice cover as well.any questions please as before you bid.very clean body and someone will have a very nice car with a little only work.Accepted methods of payment are cash of course,Money order,bank or cashiers check.No paypal for this transaction.This car is also being advertised locally,so we have the right to end the auction if it sells before auction is over.Brakes and motor and all electrics are fine.Also nice and clean undercarriage.Mileage is low but not totally accurate,because the car was restored.I think we have covered everything.please look at all the pics.It is getting cold here in Maine,and we have not had much snow yet,so the sooner you can pick up the car the better.Buyer is responsible for shipping and pick-up.Bidders with less than 10 feedbacks,you need to get in touch with us before bidding,about payment methods.No reserve,will sell to highest bidder.We would like the car picked up 7 days of auctions close,after full payment is made,and $500.00 deposit due, 2 to 3 days after auction ends.You can call my husband with any questions and he will answer them as best as he can.(207)752-4680.That is his cell phone.We have owned the car for about 7 years +.Thank you.Check out his other auctions as well,of things he has listed now.
