I bought this bike at, then Bratten Motors in San Diego, a BMW motorcycle dealer in Jan of 2003. I enjoyed it as it came from the dealer both in the city and the surrounding mountains of San Diego. Around 2006 I started thinking of taking it to Alaska for one of my bucket list trips. At that time I started to put on extra gear such as Tourtech Zega panniers and the forward Tourtech saddle bags for the trip. I had a successful trip to Alaska in June 2007 and after returning to US, headed to Wisconsin to a BMW international rally. On the way home I went to Vancouver, BC and then came home. Almost 26000 miles without a hiccup. Bike ran flawlessly. Other than tires and oil changes (normal) it required no additional maintenance. It runs today as it ran when it was new. All maintenances have been performed on time and all is recorded. Reason for selling is that I do not ride it anymore. I have other newer bikes which I ride in long distance trips. Other than the panniers and the saddle bags, I have a wired Zumo 550 Garmin GPS mount. I would like to sell this bike for cash and delivery could be arranged at the expense of the buyer. California registration is coming due in January and I will be putting into Non Operational mode. Till then it can be ridden and title could be transferred. Great dual purpose bike with a bullet proof motor. The photos I am posting are from trips I have taken and before the Alaska trip. This bike also has a low seat, a favorite amongst ladies.
