Vehicle Detail
These Chevy trucks are becoming harder and harder to find these days and this one is absolutely beautiful. You will have a hard time finding a better 1987 short bed at this price. Lifted 1987 Chevrolet Silverado SWB 4WD V10/K10, regular cab with black exterior/interior. This truck is loaded with factory options, plus has had several thousand in restoration performed by ASE certified mechanics. The truck currently has 165k original miles which isn't bad for a 26 year old truck. It has had a frame-off restoration done by the previous owner and drives better than it did when new. It starts quickly, idles smoothly, and the transmission shifts flawlessly (including the passing gear). As you can see, most everything on this truck has been replaced or upgraded and well cared for. The frame is solid, straight, rust free and has no history of any damage (Carfax). It is extremely reliable and driven occasionally. I would not think twice to drive this truck anywhere!I recently took it to the Chevrolet Dealership for a full inspection prior to driving it from Texas to Virginia and back to Texas. The dealership found no issues in need of repair and I made the trip with no problems at all. This truck is a showstopper that grabs a lot of attention everywhere you go. I’m currently working internationally so I have decided to list it for sale. These models are becoming hard to find especially in this condition, usually you find them needing around 20-25k in restoration. The Silverado has dual fuel tanks and both work perfectly, along with the 4WD system. Below is a list of what it has or has been done: -Remanufactured Carbureted 5.7 350 V-8 (no longer fuel injected). -New chrome Edelbrock dress-up engine kit -Rebuilt, tuned Holley 600 4brl carburetor w/ new electric choke and new kick down cable -New chrome high-rise Holley air filter assembly -New ceramic headers -New custom true dual exhaust w/ catalytic converters -Serviced 700R Automatic transmission (has overdrive) -New battery -New 35" A/T Radial tires -New Aluminum 15" bullet hole rims -6" inch leaf suspension w/Rancho shocks -Skyjacker SoftRide Hydro front dual steering stabilizer -Front leveling kit -Manual locking hubs -Dana lockers -Class V towing hitch -Converted R134 A/C -New heater coil and blower -New power steering pump -New radiator hoses -New vacuum lines -New belts/gaskets/seals/etc. -New 4WD steering box -Completely undercoated chassis -New headlight switch -New bulbs in the instrument panel -New fuel selector switch -New door locks -New power window motors -Chrome step bars -Chrome bumpers -Chrome Bull bar -Polished aluminum mirrors (plus new extra set in box) -Sliding rear glass (tinted) -New aluminum diamond-plate Kobalt heavy-duty tool box -Spray-in bed liner -New MSD ignition/wires/distributor -New plugs -New bench seat -New headliner -New carpet -New fuel filter/pump -New speedo gear - (speedometer reads corrected speed) -New Halo headlights (low/high beam) w/ heavy-duty light harness -New turn signal switch -New marker lights/tail lights/bulbs -New wipers -New valence -Kicker custom sound system All fluids has been regularly changed, including both engine & transmission filter/fluid along with gear fluid. Truck was just thoroughly inspected and tuned by a local ASE Certified Chevrolet Master Mechanic. Truck was built for show. This truck is extremely reliable and driven occasionally. I would not think twice to drive it anywhere! NOTE: Rust spot located on Driver's side cab corner, few rock chips around the bottom below the doors, paint chip near key hole on passenger side door and scratch below aluminum diamond bed molding on driver's side. Roof of cab and hood need to be repainting. This truck is able to run military Humvee tires (37's) which are Goodyear radial tires and cost a fraction of the price of non-military tires (400 a set compared to 400-500 per tire). Just a nice bit of information, whenever it comes time to replace the new 35" tires.
