Vehicle Detail

You're looking at a 1962 VW Singlecab truck. This vehicle has the unmistakable look of a vintage VW bus, while maintaining the utilitarian purposes of a truck. There really is nothing cooler than pulling up to your local building center and loading this old girl with lumber. All you can do is grin. I bought the truck in 2004 and used it for my Pizza Shop for about 6 months before selling the business. It got a lot of attention and was the talk of the town. Mainly, I just enjoyed driving it back and forth. I started to do a full restoration in 2005, but ended up going back to school and starting a new job, etc. The good thing about this truck is that what you see is what you get. I've already pulled out all of the rust and replaced nearly every panel that needed it. There are no gremlins lurking beneath the surface. The drive-train was converted to a standard Beetle configuration via a "Bus-Boys" IRS conversion kit. Likewise, the front spindles have been professionally "flipped" to match the stance of the rear. There are several boxes of new parts that come with the truck. There are just too many parts to list. I do have a good core motor, but I'm not including a running motor with this sale. PLEASE NOTE: THE PREVIOUS OWNER REMOVED 11 AND 3/4" FROM THE TRUCK. It's hard to notice, but important that you understand this before you buy it. Personally, I like the look. If you look closely, you'll see where the original pieces were sectioned back in. I haven't lost interest in the truck and I hate to part with it, but I'm starting a new business and need the money to get it off the ground. I have a patent on a gun safe that is hidden in furniture. We call it "the Mother Firearm Retrieval System." You can check it out at (motherfrs.com) Thanks for looking. I'll do my best to answer any questions as soon as possible. On Nov-22-14 at 06:14:02 PST, seller added the following information: I wasn't really as clear as I should be on the current condition of the truck. I included pictures of it that show the underside. This truck was turned on a leg an all metal was cleaned, replaced it needed and then coated in a rust proof paint called "Rust Bullet." The silver that you on the bottom is the "rust bullet" paint. Do a web search and you will find that this paint is awesome and expensive. I had no intention of ever selling this truck. It was being built by me, for me. Currently, the truck is back on all 4 wheels and is sitting in a local storage building. I have a tow-bar that was built to tow early VW buses and that's generally how I move it. For long distance, I would recommend a trailer. I hope this clarifies things.
