Vehicle Detail

1974 HONDA CT-70 K3 3 SPEED SEMI-AUTOMATIC I purchased this Trail 70 several months ago for a project and it has since gone through an extreme makeover. Below is a description of what has been done to the bike... MOTOR Top end completely rebuilt, machine shop bored, honed and surfaced the cylinder, new OEM Honda piston and ring kit installed @ .75mm over, new OEM Honda top end gaskets, head had new Japanese intake and exhaust valves ground and ceeted, new OEM Honda valve seal installed and head was also surfaced, new DID timing chain, new Keihin carb, point gap set to specs, valve clearances set to specs. The motor now runs like new and has great compression. PAINT Frame, swing arm and chain guard were stripped to bare metal, primed with self etching primer, Two coats of sandable primer, then Three coats of color and Three coats of clear coat. Paint job looks really nice! New graphics were installed after paint was cured. All other items that needed painted black or silver were also repainted. NEW PARTS CHP Handle bars CHP Exhaust shield CHP Head pipe guards CHP Spark plug guard CHP Chrome frame trim CHP Complete seat assembly OEM Honda throttle assembly OEM Honda grips OEM air filter element New battery New air box rubbers New cables New turn signals New polished aluminum head light ears New lights and horn control switch assembly New kick starter New plug Tires have very little mileage on them Dozens of misc parts were installed on the bike but just too many to list. SUMMARY I am not advertising this bike as a museum quality show piece but it does look, run, shift, stop and ride Great! All of the lights work on the bike including head light hi and low, tail light, brake light from front and rear, turn signals, gauge lights and the horn works. All bulbs in the bike are new except for the head light bulb. I installed a standard enduro light and horn switch because the original switch had the turn signals going up and down instead of side to side and I did not like that, I like it much better with this set up but you could very easily put the original switches back on it if you wanted to. I replaced the Original headlight ears with custom polished aluminum ones because the stock ones were a little bent up but you can have the originals if you want them. The 1974 model has Two benefits that the older models do not have which are a working telescopic front suspension like a regular motorcycle which rides much better than just a spring and it has turn signals so that the bike can be safely ridden around town or your neighborhood or where ever. I personally don't think people would know what hand signals mean any more so this is a nice option to have. TITLE & SHIPPING I have a Clear title for the bike in my name and will leave the purchase price on the title blank for you to fill in. The buyer of the bike is responsible for making and paying for all shipping arrangements or bike can be picked up from in person at my location. Pictures are worth a Thousand words so please look close at the bike and feel free to ask as many questions as needed through email or phone.
