Vehicle Detail

This is a meticulously-maintained low-miles WRX. It's the car that started the the AWD turbo wave in the US. This is one of the earliest imported to the US. I purchased this in CA when it had about 8000 miles on it in November of 2002, and I have owned it ever since (12 years!). I have never owned a car that long, and never intended to, but I love this car. The only reason I'm selling it is because I needed something larger to accommodate growing family (and I replaced it with another -- and larger -- manual-transmission AWD turbocharged Subaru). This car has been incredibly reliable, which makes me a huge fan and advocate of WRX's and Subies in general. It was my first Subaru, and after my wife's, I'm now on my third. AC is ice cold and the car is mechanically perfect. Tires are Goodyear Eagle F1s (summer high-performance) that will need to be replaced soon. In the three states where I've lived, it's always been garaged. This car was my daily driver, but since I travel for a living and up until 3 years ago I walked to work, that's why it has the unusually low miles. Okay, so there's a minor tear in carpet on passenger side. I don't know how it happened, I bought it like that, and it never bothered me enough to have it fixed. I can't see it from the driver's seat. The interior is otherwise perfect. The only damage that happened while I owned it was that someone backed into the left-rear door, which resulted in a new door panel and re-paint of left rear fender and bumper. No damage to frame. By the way, I was 36 when I purchased this car (do the math to figure out how old I am now), and I'm not a street racer. I've never dropped the clutch at high RPMs (although I hear that's a lot of fun). I'm a responsible adult car owner who doesn't believe in abusing my vehicles. It also has a class 1 trailer hitch used to haul small sailboat on a trailer (less than 500 lbs total weight) twice a year, and for bike rack. That has a bit of surface rust on it. Except for NC-legal grey window tint (re-applied 3/14, along with a new windshield), it's completely original. I've made no modifications and it remains unmolested. It's never been chipped, reprogrammed, lowered, or altered from factory specs in any way. That's pretty rare! Questions? Submit via ebay or call Jonathan at 847-570-0725. (I also have an additional full set of rims and snow tires for sale, if interested.)
