0 0 1 355 2029 Roger Bates Consulting Inc. 16 4 2380 14.0 Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE I have owned this fantastic vehicle for 12 years. This is a driver quality car that has the bones to be anything you want it to be. There is absolutely NO RUST or ROT anywhere on this car, and never has been. This car shows no signs of ever being wrecked. There are some minor bumper "hits" that go along with her 55 years of service. Milage listed is not accurate as speedometer works but odometer does not. Most of these unrestored cars have serious frame, floorboard, or body rust, but not this baby. She is not a trailer queen, frame off restoration, or a barn find. This beautifully original MGA is garage kept under cover, and driven regularly. I have continuously maintained and improved her cosmetics while staying true to the originality. She starts and drives as you would expect. I can't stress the value and quality of the underlying bones of this car. A few years ago my friend did a "frame off restoration" of his MGA and spent an unbelievable amount of money repairing the frame and body of his car. When it was ready to put back together he used mine as a model to get all the measurements for fit and finish. As far as I can tell the 1600 CC engine or drivetrain have never been out of the car. The dashboard and under the bonnet sheet metal has factory paint. The car has one very old repaint and the finish buffs up and shines nice. However, the fender piping was also painted as you can see from the photos. This does detract a bit, however. this is a car that you will be proud to own and drive while you decide if you want to have it redone. The red interior and black carpets are nearly flawless. The chrome is good for the age. the top and tonneau covers are "Stayfact" cloth, and along with the side curtains are like new. She even still has the original jack and tools strapped above the spare. Someone will be lucky to own this particular car. I must let her go as life changes and the need for the garage stall trumps all else. I have the car listed locally as well, so reserve the right to cancel the auction if it is no longer available. Don't hesitate if you have been looking for a quality MGA. I have been an eBayer for many years and have 100% Positive feedback as both buyer and seller. Please ask questions and bid only if you intend to purchase. Sold "as is, where is" , the buyer has responsibility for arranging shipment or for local pick up. The "Buy it Now" is very reasonable, or bid to win. Good Luck!!!
