VERY UNIQUE 1966 FORD BRONCO ROADSTER U13You are looking at a 1966 U13 very rare and hard to find Bronco! Ford only produced the U13 for 2 years , Only 4,090 were built in 1966 and only 690 in 1967. What makes this rare is it was built without doors or top. The vin # started with U13 instead of the U14 or U15 like all other Bronco's. There are a lot of replica U14 & U15 built but NOTHING is like an original as far as value. This is a very solid Mississippi truck. I purchased this Bronco in 2008 and at that point the previous owner had replaced the brakes, brake lines, and all the wheel bearings. I built the engine and replaced the clutch in 2009. From there the truck was stored inside my shop for the next few years. I started back on this project back in May and just recently finished. The truck runs and drives GREAT!!! All the gauges work properly. This 200 engine that only has less than 100 miles runs VERY STRONG!!!!! Has as much torque as the standard 302 and only 20 hp less, with a gear ratios of 4.11 makes this Bronco amazingly powerful!!!!! The 200 has 7 main bearings vs. the 4 in the standard 170 and a larger carb. which will make this motor much stronger for pulling. With the much lighter 6 cyl these Bronco's usually do better MPG. The tall 4x4 transfer case shifter is unique to only 1966 and are by far the BEST!!!!!! The front floor pans had minor rust just like all bronco's. Over the years the original door inserts had had several different soft doors, I decided it best to go with new inserts to keep from covering up several holes that were drilled into them. I also decided to replace front fenders due to they were not as good of quality as the rest of the truck. I do have all these original parts. I've been building Bronco's for 18 years and have sold several local as well on EBAY!!!!
