Up for auction and ready for immediate purchase at anytime is this driver/project condition 1960 El Camino. This car runs and drives and is 90% complete. It looks to have a stock 350 with turbo 350 swapped into it at some point. Engine runs good no smoke or unusual leaks tranny shifts nice, everything functions as it should. It has a q-jet carb and HEI distributer. NEW wheel cylinders, shoes hoses and master cylinder BodyCar has rust in usual areas and had some poor repair work over the years in the floors inner rockers and bed area's. The floors are there, it can be driven safely but by quality standards there lacking totally, The bed has had metal replacement but falls into the same category. Its all repairable, the poor repairs make it look a lot worse then it is. The chassis looks to be in great shape NO ROT but could use a few bushings. GlassFront windshield has a non repairable crack the rest are in good driver quality condition. Vent windows open and shut. ElectricalAll looks good except it could use a fuel sender for the gauge, Everything else works lights wipers etc and un molested InteriorIts there but shows its age, The seat shows its age but is presentable, door panels are showing signs of moisture damage on the back boards no rips though, The dash is complete and gauges work except for fuel. Tires Bias ply wide whites they all hold air and are in decent shape with 14' rally's w/patrol caps We acquired this car and a 59 ell camino in a multi car purchase but we did not have any interest to build. Our goal was just to get it back to road worthy condition and resell. It has been off the road for about for over 5 years. We have gone through the brake system replacing wheel cylinders rear hose and master cylinder, stops like it should. Engine cranked right up after a carb rebuild and tune up it will need exhaust work its quiet but mufflers are cut under floor. I invite offers not opinions.
