Vehicle Detail
1974 Toyota Corona Mark II Station Wagon with 86,000 original miles. I got this wagon from the original owner earlier this year. Car has clear title in my name. Very solid and complete condition. Of course it's 40 years old but overall real solid. Has the 6 cylinder 4M engine and A/C. ENGINE- Completely original and never molested, modified or messed around with. Starts right up, even after sitting. Idles fine. Has a simple small oil leak right as the oil pressure switch that's right in the middle of the sidewall of the engine block, you can clearly see what it is. Has an exhaust leak coming from the front of the engine at the block and manifold. One spark plug boot is torn off, needs a set of wires. That's the worst there is to say about it under the hood. GOOD is there is NO RUST underhood at all, amazingly solid and complete. Auto transmission shifts just like it should forward, back and going down the road. Lights, horn work. INTERIOR- Black and in original nice condition. Not perfect. Drivers' seat needs small work, Dash is showing age but has a carpet set over it. Lights and horn work. Radio works but sounds 40 years old. Headliner is good. Glass is good, no cracks or BB holes. Has original Toyota floor mats, tire jack and tool kit. Door panels are nice, seat belts are good (actually drivers' need to be clicked in to start car). Not an abused car at all. Dash lever for the A/C is off and needs to be put back on. Don't know why it came off. BODY- Straight and solid. Has an older repaint in same color which must be at least 20 years old. So what you see is what it is. Not at all wavy down the sides. Minor spots of surface rust that will easily go away with a fresh repaint. Only rust spots I have seen on it are at the bottom of the front fenders, will need simple patches and a 3x3 spot in the drivers' toe board. Rear quarters, back hatch, hood, doors, rockers are all solid. The exhaust leak smooths out as you get up to operating speed. It's a typical old car to me. DOES come with the original rims and hubcaps. Deposit due in 24 HOURS. Balance due in 72 HOURS. Bout tired of selling on eBay but we'll give this one a shot. My 13 year eBay rating is 100% with over 550 feedbacks from a regular buyer/seller of stuff. Not a business. Winning this auction does not mean you've 'earned the right' to take a look at it. If you have questions ask and I'll answer the best I can. Car is not for sale outside the continental 48 states. No one with less than 10 feedbacks at 100% will be able bid. Sorry. We have to protect ourselves on here as eBay does not. Car is for sale locally. Contact me about that if you like. It will run and drive but as with any old car until you get your own hands on it for inspection and maintenance I'd suggest trailering it. I drove it around town last weekend. Car was owned by an older couple and had good care taken of it. It will need the details addressed. 7o6 9seven4 two,one97 Good luck. Older Japanese cars in this condition are getting harder to find.
