For your consideration to purchase is a very clean unmolested 1988 Mustang GT 5.0 Convertible 5 speed! I am selling to make room for my 406 Galaxie project this winter. I don't need to sell but don'twant to store. If the car doesnt sell due to cold weather coming I will simply put the car in storage - no big deal! About the car.... many new parts: Fresh E7 Roller 5.0 long block completely rebuild by previous owner. This is the reason I bought the car, fresh engine! While I didnt take it apart to see what all was done, the prevous owner has 5,000 in receipts for the fresh drive train. I would assume the engine is a 306 but it could be a 302 or 331 as well. I didnt take a head off. BBK 70 mil Throttle Body Water Pump Alternator Clutch Pressure Plate EGR IAC Belt tensioner BBK Cold air BBK Long Tube Headers BBK 2.5" X pipe Flowmaster 2 Chamber Cat Back (super 44 I believe)Head light lenses Turn signal lenses Fog lights Convertible Top (glass window) Heater core T5 gone over Tires I forgot to take pictures of the trunk. It is clean and has a full size spare on a stock turbine wheel! Also there IS a convertible top boot cover. Most people dont use them but if you are ever in a parade or anything, there is one in the trunk! Everything in the car works. The only thing that doesn't work at this time is the lights on the rear view mirror but they should be working by the time you take delivery on this car. The heat blows hot, the AC could use recharged but it works. The power top works flawlessly! Radio works - has never had an aftermarket stereo! Original door panels and carpet are close to mint - they look brand new! The drivers seat has a small rip that will need repaired if you wish. It looks better then most its age! All the lights work, all in all this is a very well preserved car. Has never had any tachometers drilled in the dash or anything like that. This car hasnt even had sub frames welded in. The car has had a repaint that looks really good! There are a few blemishes but nothing compared to most fox body mustangs. Look at the pictures! This car is SUPER solid. You will see from the pictures underneath and all there is really no rot. These cars had issues around the shock towers. The previous owner reinforced them proactively. There wasn't any issues. Really its a survivor! The real meat and potato's about this car: This is one I don't want to sell. But I must move on to the next project. I have had over 15 Fox Mustangs and one of the reasons I really dont want to sell this car is because of the way it runs. For a stock style engine - its totally moves. This car still retains the 3:08 gears but will pull through all 5 speeds. Has a very good working limited slip (posi). You can hit the skinny at 25 mph blow the back tires off. It is one of the quickest reving 5.0s with a mild cam I have ever driven. Usually cars that run this well have big cams, power adders and super expensive top ends. This is just a really well running fresh rebuild. I would assume compression is a tad higher just from the amount of power its putting out. It sounds as good as it runs too. When I roll through town some people will ask what all is done to the car since it just sounds so much healthier than your typical stock 5.0! I wouldn't hesitate letting my wife or kid take this car any place (besides in the snow). Super strong, super reliable, super fun! There are about 100 HIGH DEF pictures for you to look at. Everything works, top, lights, locks, ligher, even the ash tray door isnt smashed like most of them!. Tires new, power fresh, car is reliable. This 5.0 Convertible runs like a real muscle car! Runs, sounds, looks, acts, does what a muscle car should do. Look at the pictures. With this description and the pictures there wont be any surprises. Come out and look as well!
