Vehicle Detail
This Mitsubishi Mini Cab truck has 25k miles (40,270 kilometers), two and four-wheel drive with low range, and a four speed manual transmission. It’s powered by a water-cooled, carbureted 660cc motor with plenty of power and excellent gas mileage. It has a heater, turn signals, wipers and other amenities you would expect on a truck. The interior is all original and in excellent condition. The door panels, head liner, and seats have no tears and show very little wear. All the glass is good and windows roll up and down smoothly. The bed sides fold down and there is a built in tool box under the bed on the passenger side. All upgrades and work on the truck have been done in the last 18 months. All accessories were purchased new or custom made. The little truck gets a lot of attention wherever we take it. It is always trailered to and from our hunting lease, and stored indoors when not in use. I would estimate it has had no more than 100 miles put on it during the last 12 months. When we decided we were going to buy a mini truck for hunting, we looked at a lot of them prior to deciding on this one. It was chosen for its overall clean, good condition, and because it drives really well. It has a straight body with no rust, the motor does not smoke, no clatter, no odd noises. It was originally white like 99% of all mini trucks, so we had it professionally painted inside and out. The paint is super durable and darn near impossible to scratch. It needed little to no body work, and the only dent is a minor one in the tailgate (see photos). Having been used as a hunting vehicle, it does have some minor scratches and paint chips. All filters and fluids are fresh. I also have new spark plug wires, distributor cap, rotor and an oil filter that were purchased as spares and will be included in the sale. I have the rear tail lights (minus one lens) and back up light, but they are not currently installed since I used the truck for varmint hunting. It has an AM radio, but it does not work very well and only picks up Japanese stations (that’s a joke). The hunting rack quickly and easily folds down when not in use. The top rails come off and the ends fold down, the chairs are removable, or you can take the whole rack off as it just bolts to the bed and frame. The ladder can be removed or adjusted closer to the bed for easy loading on even small trailers. The bench seat in the bed is held on with spring pins and can be take out and replaced with a tool box or plastic storage bin. The front spare tire carrier slides into a receiver hitch and can be removed and replaced with any accessory that fits a receiver hitch, like a winch, road feeder, carry rack, etc. The truck in not titled and will be sold with a bill-of-sale. It is located in Oklahoma City. Buyer must make a $500 deposit via PayPal within 24 hours of the auction ending. The remaining payment can be made with a bank transfer, cash when the truck is picked up, or by cashier's check, but the truck will not be released until the cashier's check has cleared with the bank of issuance. Sorry if that is inconvenient, but there are too many scams involving forged cashier's checks. Here is a list of things done to the truck: Base truck ($4500) Custom paint ($1700) Super Grip Diamond Back 23 x 8 x 12 tires ($400) ATP aluminum wheels ($400) 3” lift kit and heavy duty front coil springs ($300) Energizer battery ($100) Front and rear bumpers with receiver hitches ($400) Rear bench seat in bed ($150) Front carrier and spare tire ($150) Rear stabilizer jack ($50) Auxiliary work/back-up light ($50) Hunting rack with swivel seats and adjustable gun rests ($600) Rubber mats in bed and on floor of hunting rack ($50) Service manuals, both the mechanical and electrical ($75) TOTAL: $8925 INVESTED NOT COUNTING TIME, LABOR, AND MISCELLANEOUS SMALL PARTS. A little about mini trucks: Starting in the sixties the Japanese manufactured what they termed “Kei class” vehicles (now generally called “K-class”). The Mitsubishi Minicab is a kei truck built and sold in Japan by Mitsubishi Motors since 1966. Mitsubishi also manufacturers trucks for both Nissan and Suzuki. Kei means “light weight”. These were built as a less expensive, fuel efficient, shorter, narrower, and lighter alternative to the standard size and weight vehicles. The K-class vehicles have included passenger cars, vans, and mini trucks. The Japanese have used these small off road trucks to perform a myriad of tasks. They often equipped the rear truck beds of these little trucks with specialized industry specific equipment. When people consider their special purpose vehicle options they often find used mini trucks from Japan to be their best choice. They have been converted into hunting rigs, farm trucks, work trucks, atvs, spray rigs, fire trucks and even ambulances. Over the years, Japanese manufacturers have really perfected these great little trucks.
