Available for auction is my father's original Ford F100 Long Bed Pickup truck with 120K fully documented original miles. He was 41 years old when he ordered this truck new in the spring of 1973 from Towne Ford in Redwood City California. This is the first and only new vehicle my parents ever purchased, they have meticulously maintained, serviced and cared for this truck throughout its existence, saving every document, receipt, invoice and repair tag ever associated with the truck since they drove it off the dealer lot almost 42 years ago. The documentation folder is loaded with the original window sticker, build sheet, Sales Contract, Protect-O-Plate, Owners Manual, sales brochure, service contract, vehicle warranty, starting & care instructions and every maintenance, service, repair and auto store receipt they received. Unless otherwise described, this F100 is as original as you'll find anywhere, 100% all original sheet metal, numbers-matching motor and transmission, original 1973 California license plates and beautiful factory-original paint with the exception of a minor fender-bender that occurred 18 years ago in 1996 involving front fender & bumper repairs totaling $1,280 (receipts included in the file) the muffler was replace the late 90's and the back-up light switch has failed in the shift column, now activated with a micro switch. The interior is 100% original and in near-pristine condition, the original bench seat upholstery has wear on the drivers side (see photos) and my dad installed a rubber truck bed mat one year or so after he purchased the truck, being the perfectionist he is he sprayed a light coat of primer on the bed floor prior to installation to prevent any corrosion from occurring underneath the mat which worked like a charm, and as you can see in the photos I was able to remove a small section of primer with a medium-grit compound, exposing the original limestone paint beneath. There is no penetrating rust or rot anywhere on this truck and it has ALWAYS been garaged DAILY since 1973. As the documentation clearly shows this truck has been sparingly driven and extremely loved, cared for and meticulously maintained since day one. The photos and video speak for themselves (the drum brakes are a little squeaky in the video but they are in great shape and not in need of adjustment or replacement) It starts, runs, idles, drives, shifts, steers, tracks and stops like an absolute dream.
