You are looking at a real California Custom Cruiser Wagon that the whole family can enjoy! This 1962 Mercury Commuter Six Passenger has the right "Kustom Kulture Look". The body is straight and solid with a high gloss clear coat shot over the original color sanded blue. It starts, drives and stops very well. It has a 390 FE engine with a new rebuilt 2 barrel Motorcraft carburetor, great on gas. The Merc-O-Matic Automatic Transmission shifts well. I have replaced the battery, rebuilt distributor, new fuel pump, rebuilt starter, new solenoid and voltage regulator, new 12 Volt alternator conversion with custom brackets. This Classic Mercury is a lowered ride with flipped shackles, leaf spring,, and 4" blocks in the back, cut springs in the front. New skinny White Wall Tires on 15" Chrome Supremes. The windshield has a crack on the drivers side and a chip while the rest of the glass is chip and crack free. Rear electric breezeway rolls up and down with keyed power. New dual exhaust and rebuilt and clean gas tank. The Brakes were bled and adjusted, stops on a dime. Zero Visible Rot or Rust! The interior is very comfortable, See pics for condition. Rear seat and tailgate fold up and down well. This "One of a Kind" Station Wagon has many new accessories and upgraded parts. This "Surf Style Wagon" is for someone to just enjoy as a nice daily driver or take it to shows, it's not perfect it's not a trailer queen by any means but it's a cool old classic and there are not many unmolested like this around. Load up the vintage roof rack with all your coolers and luggage and hit the beach or go cross country. The body is straight overall with very small areas of visible rot at the bottom of the fenders (see pics). Chrome Bumper and grill with great original stainless, It has patina, some dents and dings on the passenger side (see Pics). That said the Wagon is SOLID!!! This is a California Wagon and has always been to the best of my knowledge, a daily driver with clear California title and Plates. Visible Vin and Body Tags.
