Vehicle Detail
I purchased this car 8 years ago with the intent of making a bluesmobile or restoring it. I had it shipped from California to Minnesota. It has been sitting in my shed too long. It is wearing it's original police paint with the markings scraped off the door. It was a Marin county sheriff in the state of CA. It has a clear title. The doors open and close okay, but need some lube. The windows roll up and down fine and the glass is good. With a battery in it, all the lights work still. When i first got the car years ago it would run with a battery in it, it since hasnt been run and has become stuck. It is the original HP 440, numbers matching. It should be a perfectly rebuildable core, it may even break loose and turn but that is up to the new owner. The radiator and shroud are out of the car but they are included. The transmission is original as far as i know and was in good undamaged condition. it has the larger 9-1/4" axle with 3.23 ratio gears, stock. Dual exhaust, stock, original seats, comes with 2 rears, an original and a spare set. Still has the certified 140 mph speedometer, showing approx 113,000 miles, reading 13,000 because it only holds 5 digits and the tenths. Car originally came with a driver's spotlight, but it was removed at some point in the past. The holes were not filled. The NOS unity bracket kit fits precisely over the holes. Includes a correct NOS spotlight bracket kit, and 2 older unity parts spotlights, they havent been tested, and you can buy new ones from Unity. There are a couple antenna holes in the trunk behind the back window, they are patched with parts of plastic temporarily. The body is very clean and straight overall. Rockers and floors are all nice. The only rust is on the bottom of the driver's door, a hole in the passenger's lower quarter, and over the tailights in the trunk jamb. The mopar slotted police wheels are not technically correct for 1974, it would have had body color wheels, in green. I do not have these. The only other part of the car i do not have is the A/C compressor. The wheels hold air and the car rolls but it would obviously need to be trailer-ed. Includes several boxes of assorted extra interior and body parts, good spare parts. Uses the one-key police locks and ignition, i have 2 keys. If you have seen The Blues Brothers (1980), this car is a bit of an icon being a factory cop car. It is also rare and should be restored or driven as is hopefully! On Oct-29-14 at 06:36:40 PDT, seller added the following information: I have the original rear seat for this car, it is out for the photos. i also have an extra rear seat assembly, both upper and lower cushions are green, in decent shape, good enough for a driver. So it comes with 2 rear seat assemblies! On Nov-02-14 at 06:47:16 PST, seller added the following information: Please contact me before bidding if you have low or no feedback, thanks!
