For sale is a 1985 Jeep CJ7 V8 360 with no reserve. Here is a video of the Jeep idling in the driveway.      This jeep was rebuilt from the ground up with an all fiberglasss body with the exception of the windshield frame and tailgate. When installing, stainless steel hardware was used wherever possible. Powering this jeep is an AMC 360 with an automatic 727 transmission. There is roughly 3500 miles put on it since completed in 2003. Has been garage kept the entire time, but it deserves a home where someone can enjoy it. Includes: · Custom manufactured rear over siized tire carrier with hi-lift jack· 2 tops (soft and bikini)· custom 3 inch body lift· 3 inch suspension lift· 5 BF Goodrich mudterrain tires mounted on matching aluminum rims· Oversized 22 gallon gas tank and has only run premium gas· Disc front brakes· Drum rear brakes As it was being built all parts were bought new including fuel and brake lines, interior, headers and the engine and transmission was rebuilt by a relative who has been a Chrysler tech for over 20 years. In the past 2 years it has had the following installed: · new edelbrock 4bbl car with electric choke · new best top super top · new custom front bumper (winch ready – no winch included) · dual battery tray with 2 Optima Yellow Top batteries · 2 stage power assist brake booster and new master cylinder · Radiator · Warn locking hubs · Heavy duty lift shackels · Custom dual exhaust with FlowMaster Hushpower Pro series mufflers coming out the sides There are still a few things that need to be tracked down: · Fuel gauge stopped working· Blower motor (heater) stopped working· Wipers have stopped working With it being a fiberglass body, I believe these are simply a ground that has come loose, but I have not invested the time to search for it as of yet. There are 2 issues with the paint on the hood area (depicted in photos): · While in the garage, a ladder fell onto it chipping the paint. No cracks in the fiberglass, so looks to be only cosmetic damage. · On a windy day I opened the hood too fast and it got away from me – so there is a line on the hood where it hit the windshield. I was not driving the jeep at the time, and again only cosmetic damage as depicted. If what I believe to be a ground issue was fixed and the paint touched up, this is easily a $15k CJ. As they are not done, I am asking 2/3 of that price – my lack of time is your gain. If you bid on this vehicle, you will be bidding on a one of a kind powerful, full throated beast of a Jeep that will get you noticed wherever you may take it. I have 2 Harleys and this Jeep is heard over both. Buyer is responsible for pickup but if you decide to have it picked up and shipped, I will help with the shipping company.
